We have at least 11 exotic breeds to enchant your morning brew. If you are very lucky you may even score a sumptuous breakfast including our farm fresh eggs. It depends if our girls are laying.
The views are panoramic and take in the full breadth, depth and scope of the spectacular St. Vincents Gulf only steps away and in front of us, Holdfast Bay and all the way to the city in the distance. All of which are easily accessible, only minutes away by foot, cycle or car. Spectacular sunrises or sunsets from the rear deck, or 10 minute walk to the Marino Rock cliff tops and rocky beach. Brighton and Glenelg beaches and jetty also provide striking views of golden sand and glistening blue ocean waters to our north.
The centrally located Marino Rocks Rail train station, (Adelaide - Seaford Line) across the street makes Adelaide city a short 25-30 minute commute depending on the time of day and train, express or otherwise. Be sure to double check your train and that it it stops at Marino Rocks going in either direction.
In Adelaide, at the central rail terminus you will find yourself at the doorstep to Food, Dining, Pubs, Shopping, Entertainment including the Adelaide Festival Centre, Nightlife, Sports (Adelaide Oval), Casino, Museums, Art Galleries, Libraries, Botanical Gardens, Adelaide Zoo, Universities, The Governors Home, The River Torrens and access to all of the CBD by either foot, scooter, bicycle, tram or bus. Adelaide is very easy to navigate and get around.
Or head south from Marino Rocks on the train towards Seaford to find more spectacular beaches and shopping. Including, Colonnades Shopping Centre, Old Port Noarlunga, reef and jetty, Onkaparinga River mouth, Mid Coast Surfing and Adelaides famous nude beach, Maslins. Which offers both nude (southern end only) and clothed spaces along about a mile of spectacular white sandy beach and azure blue waters. And of course, the internationally renowned McClarenvale Wine Region where there are countless tasting rooms, restaurants and more shopping!
Because of our proximity to the Marino Rocks train station we encourage light sleepers to use ear plugs. We have these on hand if you need some. While we are used to the morning train sounds and level crossing you may find these
slightly disturbing on your first night. More so during the M-F commute hrs, in the early morning than at night. Train sounds are much less on the weekends. While these do not bother us or most people, light sleepers could find these new sounds disruptive at first. The trains are all electric and very quiet and the traffic warning bells have been deliberately softened and muted to accommodate all of the neighborhood.
Otherwise, generally the home and guest suite are very peaceful, tranquil and conducive to a relaxing stay be it for work or pleasure. And fully kitted to make your stay comfortable if not perfect. That is our goal.
If you would like daily breakfast included in your stay (or any other meals) please let us know.
Ebike hire is also available
We look forward to welcoming you here soon.
