My family of 7 stayed here very comfortably and had a delightful time! The house has 2 dedicated bedrooms with a loft that acts as a third bedroom and the basement includes a twin trundle bed and a pull-out couch. The house was clean with a lovely rustic feeling but not lacking in some very helpful amenities. I could see the thoughtfulness of the hosts everywhere from the multicharger station to the sound machines in each bedroom, the dedicated dog bowls and toys, the Pack n' Play with additional foam mattress, and the numerous games throughout the house. The fenced yard was large and perfect for our Siberian Husky to romp around. The house is surrounded by woods, so it is very easy to feel wonderfully secluded. My husband rode his bike all over the winding mountain dirt roads. I hiked through the state park with my kids. We enjoyed the spectacular views during the day and the millions of stars at night. We also ventured out to visit the Florrisant Fossil Beds, the Cripple Creek ice castles and the troll near Victor. All of these ventures took less than 30 min to get to from the house. I've got the itch to come back out here as soon as possible :)

Honestly, it could've been better. This place has so much potential and it does give a cozy cabin feel. But, my family and I were completely disappointed. 1) the hot tub was out of service and we had no idea, nobody notified us. I had to call the host to ask about it and they had no real explanation. It just didn't work. They mentioned something about a discount, but there hasn't been a follow up. 2) the place was filthy. The beds specifically. The mattresses had stains, the pillows had stains. I would recommend investing in better cleaning or new sheets. 3) no blender. Not a big deal but we were there for Thanksgiving. It's kind of an essential. Anyway, our family made the best of what it was because it truly was a lovely location, view and time. Best of luck to the next guest.

We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet expectations.- At the time of your stay, the hot tub was unfortunately not operational despite ongoing repair attempts, and we have since updated the listing to reflect this. We regret any confusion if this was not clearly communicated prior to arrival.- Cleanliness is very important to us. Some of the sheets and pillowcases were new at the time of your stay, and we already have an order in to replace the remaining older items. Your comments have been shared with our management and cleaning teams to ensure standards are consistently met going forward. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps us improve.
