Hey there, I’m Bob the Boxer! Welcome to my holiday home - Horizons.Bridgetown
This isn’t just a place where dogs are “allowed.” Nope. Here, we’re the stars of the show. Horizons is my idea of heaven—a luxe Federation home that’s been lovingly restored so four-legged VIPs like me can kick back in style while our humans relax too.
Think cosy dog beds, treats on arrival, fully fenced gardens for zoomies, and house rules that say yes to pups on couches and even on the big squishy beds. It’s a proper holiday—for paws and people.
Why You’ll Love It (I do!)
Dog-first everything: Treats, beds, bowls, toys, towels—it’s all here so your hooman doesn’t have to pack the kitchen sink.
Freedom to roam: Fully secure gardens mean no leads needed for backyard sniff-scapades. And inside? Beds, couches—fair game.
Room for 6 humans (adults only): Perfect for couples, friends or solo travellers bringing their best mates.
Luxury meets charm: A grand Federation-era beauty with modern comforts, thoughtful touches and serious style.
Pawfect location: Set in a lovely street of character homes, just a 5–10 min trot to town, shops, schools, and coffee (for your hooman).
A Sneak Peek Inside When you arrive, you’ll spot the gorgeous gardens and that big verandah—ideal for morning coffee or sunset snoozes.
Inside, there’s a wide hallway with soaring ceilings (great for echoey barks), light-filled bedrooms, a cosy reading room, and even a theatre room for movie nights. French doors lead out to the verandah where you can watch the world (or birds) go by.
The lounge has a crackling woodfire for chilly nights, and the rear extension opens up into a huge country kitchen and dining space—perfect for hoomans to cook while we wait for “accidental” floor drops.
Upstairs? That’s the showstopper. The master suite has a vaulted ceiling, Juliet balcony, reading nook, and a dreamy Tempur mattress (my humans say it’s like sleeping on clouds).
The Gardens (My Favourite Bit) Lush, fully fenced, and full of shady spots for naps. There are fruit trees, herbs for your humans to use, and a chiminea firepit for stargazing. Plenty of space for zoomies, too.
Heads Up – Not for Little Hoomans This place isn’t suitable for kids under 13. The stairs and garden aren’t designed for young ones, and some furniture isn’t fixed to walls. Safety first—for everyone. Here’s the deal: this isn’t just dog-friendly, it’s dog-focused. Yep, I’ve tested it all.
Furniture? All fair game. Beds, couches, laps—you name it. Just grab one of the cosy dog blankets to keep things nice for the next pup.
Treats & Toys? Stocked. Check the kitchen and the living room basket for goodies and fun.
Yard? Fully fenced. Perfect for zoomies, sunbathing, or sniff-sploring.
Appliances? Easy peasy. All major appliances have handy signs above them to show your humans how to use them—TVs, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and all the kitchen gadgets.
WiFi? Sorted. Access details are here on the app, beside the dedicated work station, and in the Welcome Book.
Humans may smoke, but only outside. Please remind them to dispose of their butts in the rubbish bin (eww, don’t sniff those).
Pups Welcome Everywhere! This is your holiday too! Dogs are VIPs here, welcome in every part of the house—including on the furniture and even the bed. Snuggle, snooze, and make yourself at home.
So, unpack, paws up, and relax. You’ve arrived at your pawfect Bridgetown retreat.
Welcome to the good life.

What a fabulous place! Extremely welcoming and stylish property, every little detail for humans and pooches was well thought out and much appreciated. We all had a fabulous time enjoying the home and garden, as well as the fabulous location and proximity to town

Thanks so much, Tracy! We’re thrilled you found the house so welcoming and that the little touches for both humans and pooches hit the mark. Wonderful to hear you enjoyed the garden (the blue wrens do love to show off!) and the easy stroll into town. We’d love to host you all again anytime.
Warmly,
Tracey & the Blackwood Valley Escapes team
Fabulous accommodation, spotlessly clean and beautifully styled with excellent attention to detail for dogs and their owners - experience far exceeded our expectations. Many thanks to the host. Dogs absolutely loved it. Can't wait to visit again.
The most relaxing, comfortable and clean house we have ever stayed in. To be able to have our 2 fur babies with us even better. The fireplace was amazing to have. The character of this old girl (125 yr old) house was just amazing. The owner never forgot anything to make your stay just right. We will be back.Thank you 10/10
The home exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the email welcome message and the welcome message as we walked in the front door, to the gorgeous renovated home, beautiful decor, equipped kitchen (with sharp knives, appliances and staples), the cosy bed, and the yard. And then there was the design and special touches to welcome our fur child and ensure she had the BEST stay. This place really sets the bar for dog-friendly, welcoming places to stay. We didn't want to leave - and will be back!A quick note on accessibility - this place has stairs, a tiered back yard and a clawfoot bathtub with the shower in it, so for people like my mum, this place wouldn't be suitable.
