The house was beautifully done with a gorgeous view of the lake. The place had several areas for us to gather as a family depending on whether we wanted to eat on the porch looking at the lake, toast marshmallows in the wood fire pit, read by the outdoor gas pit, or watch TV. The house is well cared for and had those extra touches you want in a kitchen of a vacation rental (e.g. plastic wrap, salt and pepper). The area was very quiet and we enjoyed the wind in the trees, ducks on the lake, and a bald eagle spotting. We took advantage of the two kayaks and got out on the lake a few times. Every day we headed into Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor for an activity and lunch and then enjoyed happy hour and dinner at the house. I would recommend this place for small families who want a peaceful, nature-oriented Maine vacation.

the place was really nice and we were quite comfortable, but best hope you don't have any problems as your requests will go unanswered. The firm that is managing the home is very poor.1. I never received any information on checking in, so I had no code to unlock the door. I had to call, and call, until I finally got thru to an automated service to give me a code. I finally got me check in email the day after my check in.2. the grill gas ran empty when we started to grill, so that was super annoying. and when I tried to connect with someone to get new gas, I just go the run around and call all of these extra people. I am on vacation and don't want to spend my time doing what the service group should do.3. there were no check out instructions, so hard to know what to do.4. the images of the water front are incorrect, in that they lake is chock full of lily pads, so there is no swimming off of the dock (mis leading).

We're sorry the check-in process was frustrating and that you had to work so hard to get a door code, that's not the experience we want anyone to have. We also apologize that the grill ran out of propane during your stay; we weren't aware it was empty and will be replacing the tank and keeping a closer eye on it going forward. As for the waterfront, the lake images are accurate, but the area has experienced a severe drought this year, causing water levels to drop and lily pads to appear in the cove where the dock sits, something outside of our control but that we understand impacted your experience. We appreciate you sharing these details and will use them to improve things for future guests.

Beautiful property on the lake. Very peaceful and quiet. Property had everything that you might need. Perfect get away to avoid the crowds of the nearby towns and Acadia.
