I cannot tell you how many times we walked around this cabin and said out loud “Oh my gosh, this is so cool and such a beautiful cabin!!”. I would definitely book this cabin again, even if only for a day but preferably for a whole week because it was such a peaceful and quiet place.

The host is responsive and kind. The property is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. We enjoyed spending time on the wraparound porch watching fireflies in the evening and listening to the birds in the morning. The beds are comfortable and so is the couch. If you have time enjoy exploring the trails and go check out the lookout on the property. Also if you are hungry there is a fabulous burger spot named The Ugly Mug about 10 minutes away. We love this spot, it feels like home.

The cabin was exactly what we needed as a getaway. There is a spacious living area and open kitchen with all we needed to cook our meals. Bill replied very quickly any time I had questions. He also provided lots of information prior to the visit so we would have a good idea of the area we were visiting. The cabin was really clean and comfortable. If we decide to return to the Spencer area, we would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our group weekend. The kitchen was stocked with supplies needed for us to cook and the living room/couch was so comfortable. The beds were very cozy and bathrooms spacious. The owner of the property is incredibly friendly, stopped over to say hi and welcome us. We felt very safe. Lots of hiking nearby. Will absolutely be planning to come back.

This was the perfect setting for my best friend’s bachelor party, it was quiet and peaceful, the property was groomed and welcoming with Bill offering us all the majesty his land had to offer. The look out is the crown jewel but it’s the perfect place to get away even if you just need a porch to sit on and birds to keep you company. I will be bringing my family to take it in as soon as possible!!

We arrived early to our rental (didn't even think about a time change), we actually met the cleaning lady (very nice and friendly) just leaving. She told us to let Bill know we were there early, which we did, Bill is very prompt with messages. We were very much impressed with this cabin, very clean, spacious and very nicely decorated.Comfy beds and pillows, everything you need for your stay except your groceries. Love that we had a washer and dryer, no need to overpack. The firepit was nice, didn't get a chance to use the swing on the wrap-around deck, we were too busy chasing waterfalls. We did sit out on the front porch every morning with our coffees, and at night listening for the whippoorwill and also hearing the water feature so peaceful and quiet.Did manage to take the trail out the back door to the Overlook deck, we ran out of time to sit out there with the nice propane fire pit table. It's a bit of a hike, but take your time, it's beautiful! There's also a composting outhouse out there if needed! All in all this is the perfect rental for 2 or 4 people. The first bedroom has the ensuite with a really nice shower, the other bathroom is in the hall with the tub (hand held shower head) is a great place to soak after a long hike!

Beautiful, quiet setting. The property is easy to locate. Great kitchen with everything you need for family meals. Hiking on site. We walked up to the lookout twice a day. State Park is close for walks around the lake and dinner at the Lodge. The host is very cordial and willing to give you a tour of the property. A five star experience.

This is a beautiful property that has been well maintained! The property owners have paid attention to detail, as well as it is sufficiently stocked. It is very clean, which made me happy. The full-sized washer and dryer was a plus for us, as we hiked each day we were there and washed a lot of clothes. The fire pit near the cabin is surrounded by trees on three sides. It is a pleasant area to sit. I suggest you bring fire wood with you. The porch which wraps around the whole house has seating on all sides. We enjoyed hearing the rain on the tin roof. The overlook area that is used to advertise the property was very well appointed. The only drawback is that it is a mile from the cabin with no access by vehicle. This makes it a challenge to fully utilize that area. It rained every day we were there, so we only went to the lookout once because of the difficulty to reach it. We are hoping they make it into a road that will allow you to drive to the location because it will then be easy to bring supplies and cook out at that location. The only other thing not apparent, or I missed it, when booking is that there are two other rentals across from the red cabin. I thought we would only be viewing nature. Having said this, It really was not an issue when we were there. I would suggest renting this property.
