5 Stars! I could move in tomorrow! Beautifully appointed, kitchen very well stocked with lots of extras! Owners very responsive! And did I mention the views!
Amazing home and location! Immaculately clean, more than plentiful amenities, so close to numerous hiking trails - an absolutely perfect get-away! The drive up to the home is so beautiful, as are the views from the home - you really are “above the clouds”. There were just two of us on this trip, but next time we will bring our entire family! Coming from the Midwest, be aware that the altitude will require a few days of acclimation. The hosts were so receptive - highly recommend this home to anyone who wants a truly special adventure in paradise
This property was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I have no way to even describe how well equipped the house was and how much we felt like we were taken care of during our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own spaces, and at the same time the space was perfect when we were together.
We were a little afraid when we arrived that there wasn't central air because the weather in Denver was supposed to be about 100 for our entire stay, but the temperature was perfect in the house and was so cool at night.
If you are on the fence about whether or not to book this house- don't think twice! BOOK IT!
The views were amazing due to the location/elevation. While if felt secluded it was not difficult to get to town or to a number of ski resorts. The house was great for comfortably spending time together as well as for each of us to do our own thing when we wanted. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a variety of meals. Courtney was responsive and helpful. We had such a wonderful time.
A beautiful house high up in the mountains with a view to match. The house is beautifully designed, clean, comfortable and well maintained with all the amenities you need. The host was very helpful, responsive and went all out to help us. We arrived during what turned out to be one of the biggest snowstorms in many years. The host helped us and kept on checking in with us to make sure we're ok and we have everything we need. He also personally came to dig us out after the other plow trucks broke down.
I would give this property 10 stars if I could.
My four girlfriends and I stayed here for the 4-day weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. The location was beautiful! You’ll definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle with good tires because the mountain road to get here is winding and the driveway is steep! But the house had everything we needed, including some breakfast items. Make sure to pay attention to the altitude if you’re coming from sea level! I’m from the area and was fine, but my friends who flew in from sea level were out of breath walking up and down the stairs and got a little sick feeling after spending time in the hot tub. Just pay attention to your body! I would definitely recommend staying here. We spent some time down in Denver during the days and then hung out playing games in the evenings. It was a great place to stay!
The home is beautiful and the view is amazing. Very clean and has all the amenities you could want. Definitely want a 4 wheel drive in the winter months. Communication with the owners was outstanding. Highly recommend if you you do not have problems with altitude!
We loved our stay, I’d love to come back. Big place, plenty of room with some updated modern touches. AMAZING views, we got to sit above the clouds the final night. The house is fully loaded with everything you need other than groceries. You can definitely feel the elevation if you’re not acclimated to higher elevations. You will want a capable 4WD vehicle if it snows, which it did a little bit for us. You’re in the mountains, just be prepared for that. Thanks for a great stay!
Perfect location for a relaxing mountain vacation.
We loved this house!! There was plenty of room for me and four of my adult daughters to enjoy our girls trip to The Rockies. This house was close to Red Rocks amphitheater, Mount Evans (we highly recommend that to everyone), Lookout Mountain, and other nice places to explore. The house is well stocked with everything you might need. All you need to bring is food and drink. Having a washer & dryer available (detergent & dryer sheets included) and a two car garage to park in was especially convenient. There were three private bedrooms, and one bedroom in the basement that would be more suitable for kids. The only complaint that we had is the bunk bed in the basement bedroom needs mattresses replaced. No one was able to comfortably sleep on it, but the sofas were super comfortable and served us well so that everyone had a comfortable place to sleep.
We would definitely like to return sometime in the future!!
Beautiful views, great location, well maintained, accurate communication, perfect! Also worked out well for cycling in the area. Close to hiking trails. Four of us rode downhill to the start of the Triple ByPass bicycle ride, after getting dropped off at the main road, after seeing a cow elk on the way! The ride came right by the Sinton Road intersection!
The stay at this home was incredible. The views were amazing, the house was stocked with everything you could imagine, and the hosts are the nicest people you can work with! This couple goes above and beyond for their guests! Anyone would be lucky to stay here! Highly recommend!!
This property was absolutely beautiful and in a great location as well! Keep in mind that the owners have a very strict policy about 6 people being the max in the house; we had family visit for a few hours and the owners were upset that we didn't adhere to their rule but once we discussed that they weren't sleeping over all was good. I would absolutely recommend this home for the amenities and views!
Such a nice place with the perfect great room to hang out in with the most incredible views. The hosts have truly thought of everything, and this was one of the most well-equipped Vrbos I've stayed at.
We stayed in The Perch Above the Clouds for a week. The house is large and there was plenty of space for all 6 of us. The beds were all very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The owners, Courtney and Cody, were very nice and quick to respond to all our questions. They left us drinks, and breakfast items which was very much appreciated. The view and location of the house were great. We saw deer from the balcony and a bear crossed the street in front of us while driving back to the house one day. I would definitely recommend this house. Great family times! :)
We rented this house for our wedding and included bride, groom, best man, maid of honor and two best friends. It was the perfect little retreat to relax before and after the big day and was close to evergreen lake house. We loved the hot tub and comfortable beds and couches. They were well stocked in toiletries and breakfast foods and the views were amazing.
Very comfortable home with nice amenities. We enjoyed mountain walks, relaxing, and playing games. The hot tub was very nice- we sat in it and watched deer walk by one afternoon. We had nice local dinners. We went to Red Rocks for an amazing concert We would love to stay again!
This was our second time staying at "The Perch Above the Clouds". The scenery was spectacular with a magnificent view of Denver at night. The house itself was lovely and very well equipped. The owner even provided milk and eggs for us along with other assorted breakfast items. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful home in the pine forest. It was relaxing, comfortable, private, and beautiful.
This home is beautiful and accommodated our family, which includes adult children and a middle-schooler, very well. It was home base for many hikes and was a relaxing place to come home to. Watching the sun rise over Denver from the deck was fantastic!
The property is high in the mountains, the air is clean and cool, and you can see stars at night. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. To top it off, one evening we looked out the window and saw a bear wandering across the mountain above the house.
We are a group of teacher friends who love to travel together. Everything about our stay was awesome! The views are incredible and our hosts were very responsive. It was a great getaway!
We had a wonderful vacation at this property! We had three couples, and each had a comfortable bedroom and bath. Top notch bedding, towels, and kitchen supplies. We cooked in several nights and enjoyed the amazing views. The hottub was great to come home to after a day of hiking. The master bath was like a spa. Close to Red Rocks Ampitheater, and the quaint towns of Evergreen and Golden. We couldn’t recommend higher!
This home had everything our group of six friends had to offer and more....The house was spotless and well furnished. Our breakfast bar was the best we have ever had, a great start to a new day above the clouds....
The view from the deck of the Denver skyine was our favorite place to unwind at the end of our busy day.....We were always welcomed by friendly hummingbirds...
This home is a must stay! We will definitely rebook in the future...Thank You sharing this beautiful home with us....
