This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It’s a beautiful cabin with a stream out back. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
Enjoyed our stay at Up the Creek Cabin! The cabin was clean and equipped with everything needed. Perfectly located close to Boone and Blowing Rock! Enjoyed the creek and hiking to the waterfall!
Our stay was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4. The creek was a lot of fun, we visited it every day after our day of adventure in Boone and Banner Elk. The porch was nice for relaxing and listening to the waterfalls. Our host Renee made check in super easy.
Cozy little cabin at the end of a long gravel road. It was great floating in the tubes down on the creek. Both us and our dog had a blast! Will definitely return.
We loved our stay at the cabin Up the Creek! It was so peaceful and cozy, clean and had everything we would need. We had fun adventuring down at the creek, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying quiet evenings on the back deck. We would absolutely visit again!
A very cozy and comfortable cabin overlooking a beautiful accesible stream nestled not far from Boon, NC. Great escape if you are looking for some peace while still having access to the areas major attractions. The driveway is fairly steep but very manageable under normal weather conditions. I would probably recommend a 4 wheel drive if there is any snow. From my experience the driveway is not uncommon for many mountain homes. The home has everything you need just bring your own groceries and coffee and then you can enjoy your own little private retreat. I would book again.
This was our second time staying here, and it won't be our last! My family loves walking to the waterfall. The sound of the creek and the privacy at this cabin is rejuvenating. We can't wait to come back next time!
Absolutely beautiful cabin that is so cozy and secluded in the woods. Loved sitting on the porch listening to the creek! Loved the picnic table on porch and enjoyed our meals on porch. Super clean and loved the decor and all the wood work pieces in the cabin. Loved enjoying the creek, waterfall, etc. Hope to go back! You will not be disappointed.
The cabin was set deep in the woods yet convenient to Boone. It was charming and tastefully decorated. We were cozy and warm despite the cold and enjoyed our stay.
Up the creek was just what we were looking for! Renee was great and very responsive. The cabin was beautiful, clean and our family loved it. Would definitely stay again!!!
We had such a peaceful stay at Up The Creek and Renee was the perfect host. The sound of the creek, the beautiful fall colors and the fall flowers that greeted us when we walked in the cabin are the memories that we brought home with us after our stay in this lovely cabin.
We rent cabins 2 or 3 times a year and have been doing so for many years. This one has been one of our favorites! Great cabin, great location, lots of quiet. Renee has been a great host and has communicated very well. We hope to stay again! Thanks for a great extended weekend!!!
The property is very private and was one of the nicest VRBO properties I have stayed in. The character of this cabin is awesome and the build is of high quality, The host was fantastic and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again. I rarely give anything a perfect score but this was worthey of a 5 star review.
Me and the boys went here for a boys weekend while mom was with friends. Had such a great time! The Property, House, & River are all amazing. The river walk in both directions are beautiful. Plenty of places to do your own thing while kids do there thing. Host is awesome and will help anyway she can.
This has been one of my favorite places we have rented in the mountains for our family. Very beautiful cabin setup. Like I said in the title the property is even better. Plenty of hiking and areas for our boys and dog to play around. The river area is beautiful.

We spent amazing weekend! Beautiful property, very secluded, spotless clean and tastefully decorated! The house has everything you need. 4by4 or all WDrive would be recommended. Amazing nature trails to the waterfall and to the creek.
This cabin exceeded our expectations. It is so beautiful and in the most peaceful location. We spent most of our weekend at the waterfall. It is a short hike, but a fun adventure! My boys (9 & 11) played in the creek for hours. We also loved sitting on the front porch listening to the creek. Beds are very comfortable, cabin very clean, and beautifully decorated. Renee is a wonderful host and she graciously let us arrive early and leave later. My family had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We will most definitely be back again soon!
We had a great time here! When I visit the mountains, I prefer privacy and this cabin delivered! The home was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed mornings on the deck listening to the creek and evenings by the fire. The host was very gracious and answered all of my questions. The dogs loved their freedom to roam here as well. We will be back! :)
It was a beautiful cabin, with lots of attention to detail! I would say 4x4 or AWD was required, our CRVS Bailey made it up the gravel driveway. There was also no WIFI, including no phone service & almost a 30 minute trip to civilization...if we did not have a GARMIN, we wouldn’t have been able to find the place, as our phone connectivity died 30 min away. If there was an emergency you would be SOL. But I am from the suburbs and not used to the isolation. I would give this cabin an 8.5!
