We stayed for a week at the Haven for a much needed couples getaway from life and kids. We celebrated our anniversary, a 40th birthday and Father’s Day. The Haven is located in a very welcoming, walkable neighborhood with nearby restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Plus the convenience to nearby attractions made our trip more enjoyable! It was the perfect!

Great location —-close to trails. Very short walk to the small coffee stores—- our stay was great .Will definitely come back
Everything on the listing was extremely accurate, down to the time to Capilano Park and things to do in Edgemont Village. Location is extremely quiet. Communicating with the owners was very easy leading up to and during the stay. We had a great time staying here!

The host was very nice. We had ebikes that they allowed us to store safely in their yard. Shower had great pressure and hot water. Bed was very good. The area was wonderful only 2 blocks from town.We stayed 1 month and felt the unit was too small for such a long stay. Pictures made it look bigger. Also very dark with one small window in bathroon and 1 med. window in bedroom. About 500 sq feet total. Parking was at a premium at times due to daily communters into Vancover. This would be a great stay for a few days or maybe a week, but no longer.

Hi Mariann,
We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our efforts to accommodate your e-bikes and other needs. As mentioned in our listing, the suite is indeed a compact but bright and cozy 435 sq. ft. space—something many of our guests find cozy and charming.
Parking can occasionally be a challenge due to our proximity to the quaint yet vibrant Edgemont Village, just two blocks away. That said, we’re happy to hear that you, like most of our guests, were able to find parking right out front each day.
Wishing you safe travels and all the very best!

Loved this place, clean and quiet, located in nice little community, great grocery store and little shops to walk to. Full kitchen, top quality everything, wonderful soaking tub, very comfortable bed, nicely decorated.

Thank you Anne. Very much appreciated. Have a great day!
The "Haven" in Edgemont Village, North Vancouver was exactly that for us. We flew in from Ontario due to a family health crisis and this suite was just what we needed. It was fully equipped to prepare our own meals, easy walk to a full service grocery store as well as bakery, coffee shops, restaurants, drug stores and other amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the lovely quiet neighbourhood and chatting with residents and their dogs. Our days were primarily spent at Lions Gate Hospital and the drive was a stress-free simple route that got us to the parking lot in under 10 minutes. While it would have been nice to be walking distance the tranquility of Edgemont made up for the drive. There is a wonderful ravine/park behind the house which is another world away from the stress we were under. Our hosts were quick to respond when needed and respected our need for space during this very trying time. We would highly recommend both the location and the suite. It is as pictured in the listing, compact but has everything needed for an independent stay. The in-suite laundry was especially appreciated in our situation.

The property had everything that was needed in the suite. Nothing was skimped on like in some places I have stayed at and all was good quality. I did find one issue regarding cleaning the room from a previous stay but it was minor and likely a one time thing.
Thank you Ted and Caroline for hosting us.
Your place is beautiful and we could not have asked for more. For those thinking of booking with you, they will not be disappointed. Peace

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It is not that we were not interested in you, but like you, we were travelling which we do sometimes. That said, we sent check in information prior to your arrival, we answered your questions prior to arrival and with the check in information we provided contact numbers for both my wife should you have had any issues with your stay. We are always available for our guests even when we are not there, we also had people taking care of the home while we were away. All the best in your travels. T&C
This unit is a basement apartment that was so comfortable and convenient for my husband and I who were traveling to the Vancouver area for the first time. We could walk up to the coffee shop every morning before we started our excursion for the day. Very convenient for a day trip to Squamish, Stanley Park/Vancouver,and Capilano. Make sure to check out Cleveland Dam and the trails there. We played golf at Northlands and really enjoyed it. The unit was well stocked and quiet, the bed sleep great and I loved the water pressure in the shower. Having a washer/dryer was a bonus as I could wash all of our hiking clothes before we left to embark on a cruise to Alaska. We never saw the hosts but we didn’t need to - everything was perfect!
A perfectly contained suite with everything you would need for the duration of a holiday. Fully equipped kitchen for evenings of dining in, a comfy living area and great sized bedroom with the comfiest bed to fall in to at the end of the day. Tastefully furnished.
Just prior to my stay, I was sent all the information regarding getting to the suite, along with some useful information about travelling to the location.
It is located in a quiet and well maintained village neighbourhood which has plenty of transport links and a variety of shops.
I would recommend this accommodation highly to anyone wanting a non tourist location to stay in. As a single female traveller, I couldn't have felt safer and am already planning a return visit.
Thank you to Ted and Caroline for such a wonderful stay.
