Lakeside Cottage With 1 Bedroom And A Loft, Sleeps 4

Escape to our cozy lakeside cabin, perfect for families or romantic getaways. With 950 square feet of comfortable living space, our cabin comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The cabin's fully stocked kitchen and open dining and living areas are perfect for sharing meals together, and the fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere during cool fall or winter nights. The main floor has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and full bath, while the upstairs loft is a special hideaway with two twin beds. Guests can also enjoy the screened back porch that overlooks the lake and has a private spa.

We offer a range of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including an outdoor spa, outdoor fire pit (wood not provided), gas grill, outdoor furnishings, dishwasher, washer and dryer, stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, central heat and air, kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, towels, linens, hairdryer, iron, and complimentary coffee supplies.

Our cabin is situated on Hohman Lake and is near the Shawnee National Forest. It's the perfect location for guests looking to hike and explore nature or visit nearby wineries. Renters may also swim or fish from the docks and kayaks on the lake. There are two kayaks for guest use. Please reach out to the owners prior to your stay for information on how to access the kayaks. Motorized boats are not permitted on the lake.

Please note that our cabin is an unplugged getaway, and therefore there is no cable or satellite service, internet connection, or landline phone service at the cabin. However, cell phone service for texting is good, and voice service is fair. If you need to stay connected, both Metropolis and Paducah public libraries have computer rooms available for use. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite movies for the DVD player or watch DVD’s provided at the cabin.

2nd time staying here within 2 months. If you want a relaxing experience, cut off from outside influences, this is the place! If you live off the internet or TV, don't come here. And I say that in a great way! My wife and I (late 50's and 60) looked forward to the Lakeside Cabin to unplug and talk. we floated on the lake, fished, sat outside and listened to nature! If you need to unwind, please consider this! We'll be back again next year!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this charming lakefront cabin! The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and the ideal place to unplug. We enjoyed fishing right from the property, swimming in the lake, and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The cabin was stocked with plenty of kitchen utensils, pots, and pans, making it easy to prepare meals. The outdoor dining area and fire pit were wonderful touches that made our time outside even more enjoyable. The hosts were fantastic—very attentive and quick to communicate throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and can’t wait to come back! Excellent way to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.

We loved our stay at the cabin. Hosts provided many extras that aren't typically expected at a rental; dishwasher pods, toiletries, plenty of towels, dish soap, trash bags, and more! The home is beautiful, nicely decorated, lots of little notes and reminders which were helpful. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic! There are a few places that my cell phone intermet worked (verizon). The chair at the screen porch table closest to the insideide door.

The Lakeside Cabin provides an unforgettable getaway experience that our family has enjoyed for years. We fell in love with the peaceful atmosphere of Hohman Lake and the opportunity to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We especially love sitting on the dock and watching the beautiful sunsets (or sunrises for the early risers). We're thrilled to be able to offer this same experience to others. Plus, the cabin is conveniently located next to our other VRBO property, making it the perfect option for larger groups or families traveling together.

What makes this property unique

Our family's favorite aspect of the Lakeside Cabin was the lack of cable TV and internet. It allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of our surroundings and spend quality time reconnecting with each other. We understand that some may view this as an inconvenience, but for us, it was an opportunity to unplug and recharge. We want to provide that same opportunity to our guests who are looking for a place to disconnect from technology and focus on spending time with loved ones.
