Unwind and Relax at the Zen House.

If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing lake house get-a-way, then The Zen House is an ideal vacation spot for you. Come experience the amazing beauty that the chain of lakes offers. At the Zen House you get to experience the quiet side of Deer Lake (a no wake zone right out front), but you are literally only a minute away from the open water of Deer Lake. Enjoy the large patio and full outdoor kitchen with built in BBQ, side burners, sink and mini refrigerator. Included in the entertaining area is a nice fire pit. Take a stroll down a gentle slope and fish directly off the dock. Electricity at the dock allows re-charge your boat right at the dock.

Recent upgrades include air conditioning, blacktop circular driveway, new beds, and basement dehumidifier. Zen House is always striving to make your vacation more comfortable and convenient.

The Zen House location is a - Paddlers Paradise - It is located on Deer Lake right at the point of intersection of the Crystal Lake Canalyway. Kayakers, canoers and paddle boarders will absolutely love paddling along the canal towards Crystal Lake or follow Deer Lake to Big Stone Lake and paddle to the Sunset Grill for breakfast or lunch!

If you’re a boater or fishing enthusiast, then The Three Lakes Chain of Lakes is the largest freshwater chain of lakes (28 lakes) in the world and includes Big Lake and Big Stone Lake, two of the best fishing lakes in the Northwoods. There’s a public boat landing just down the road.

If you ATV, then take off right from the house. Just about all of Three Lakes roads are accessible, and you’re able to go directly into town as well as connect to all trails in the area.

There is plenty to do here and around the Three Lakes area. Fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling, boating, hiking, biking, golf, local wine tasting, shopping, or just sit back and enjoy what `The Zen House` offers. Peace and quiet.

Great Cabin

Loved the cabin. Had everything we needed but, I would suggest that bath towels be provided. The bed in the basement was not very comfortable. Overall, everything was nice and we enjoyed our stay and had a great time! Loved our fires and corn hole!

Zen house

The house was fantastic and fit all of our needs completely. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans as well as mixing bowls. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and firepit area. It was very windy during our stay so we didnt get out on the boat as much as we had hoped. We are all looking forward to staying here again.

Beautiful outside patio, with great view. Master bathroom was tiny. Basement was musty, could use a dehumidifier. Beds were uncomfortable. Kitchen and living room were nice.

Thank you for your review. We are constantly making improvements to all of our properties and certainly will address any concerns. Zen House has one of the quietest locations of all of our properties. The patio is excellent for entertaining or just relaxing in from of the fire.

Not what we thought it was going to be.

Upon entering the first thing we noticed is that the property was not properly cleaned. The counters were dirty, the floors and furniture were had pine needles on them. The bedroom in the basement was filthy(hair and pine needles all over the floor) we closed the basement and never entered. We found some cleaning supplies and immediately went to work. We went through two canisters of Clorox wipes, which i save to show Rich the property manager. We finally had to stop cleaning at 2145 and resumed the next day for a few more hours. Pretty sure the cleaning service didn't clean this property prior to our arrival. We could only open half the windows which was a bit of a problem as it was really warm. Most of the screens were damaged and wanted to fall out or had holes in them. The fridge in the kitchen has bad seals so it leaks water onto the floor all the time. The beds are terrible. There is no support in the middle so there is where you sink to. It was not all bad. Rich the property manager is a great guy. He was very nice about our issues and refunded some money. The location is great. Peaceful, with great views. We had four eagles that lived in the trees nearby which gave us some great pictures. The fire pit and grill area are great. The dock is perfect for fisherman as there is power to plug into after being on the water all day. With some updates and repairs this property has potential to be five stars.

Unfortunately we did have some issues with this rental period. We took immediate action to rectify the problems. Cleanliness is a priority and we have instructed our cleaning personnel with corrective action to insure this would not happen again with any of our properties. Any issues by any renter at any property is addressed and corrected. Our goal is to provide an environment when anyone entering our properties will feel comfortable. Zen house is an excellent property with a fantastic outdoor patio, new private pier, and beautiful views. This highly sought after property has limited dates for 2022. Great place

This house was great, the outside patio set up is wonderful. The primary bedroom is on the main floor along with the main bathroom. Upstairs has the loft and another bedroom with an attached bathroom. The lowest level has the third bedroom plus laundry facilities. Would highly recommend.

Yes the Zen House is a private, quiet, location located just around the corner from Deer Lake. Newly renovated three bed, three bath home with fireplace. Private pier, excellent patio, with built in gas grill and seating area. Zen House is already booking for 2022 so don't hesitate to take a moment to consider the Zen House your next vacation destination.

Relaxing, comfortable stay

A quiet, relaxing stay with everything you need! Everything was clean and comfortable. Easy access to Deer lake (the cabin is off the main lake) and you can get to several other lakes on the chain. We rented kayaks and really enjoyed kayaking the channel and the lake. The property manager was available, helpful, and quick to respond. We would definitely rent again.

Serene Relaxing Location

Loved the peaceful setting on the channel with no wake. Enjoyed the rental Kayaks/Canoes within the channel and on the lakes. Screened in porch was our favorite spot next to the Outdoor patio area. Easy steps to the water. Comfortable beds and furniture. Easy access to town and boat launch.

The Zen House one of our newest properties is quickly becoming one of the most booked. Extremely quite location at roads end, with no wake area. Only minutes to open water and miles of water to explore. Excellent entertainment patio with fire pit, outdoor fridge, and seating area. New pier installed this spring with plenty of room to park your watercraft. Check out the Zen House.

The peacefulness and joy of being on the largest chain of lakes in the world is awesome. The combination of recreation and quietness of this house is amazing. The coziness of the home combined with the great outdoor patio takes you to that special place where all the stress just disappears.
