About the host
Hosted by Carol Beaulieu

We purchased this home after spending many summers renting various cottages in the village. Named "Edelweiss Cottage" for our love of the Sound of Music and the meaning behind the flower that holds true for us.
The Alpine "Flower of Love" is viewed as a token of love. Native to the high Alps of southern Europe, there is an old legend that if a woman receives an Edelweiss as a gift from a male admirer, she will know that his love is true. To carry his message of love, the man must climb to nearly unreachable heights to pick this rare flower. It can also carry the meaning of adventure.
We believe that you will fall in love with Edelweiss Cottage and BWV and look forward to sharing the beauty and experience of Breakwater Village with you.
