This beautiful little rock cabin made for the best 3 day get away. The kitchen is well stocked, ac works well, and has great proximity to the clean shoreline! The host, Mike, is very kind and accommodating. There was a golf cart available to help with toting lake gear down to the water, and 2 kayaks as well! Just as described. Two grills outside were available that we enjoyed for a cookout, and restaurants a short drive away. Lots of peace and serenity. We will be back!
Loved the lake view. Very peaceful a great place to relax. The deer every evening was a big bonus. Near a little town to get any supplies you might need. Mike is a great host furnishing us with anything we needed. We will be back! Loved the cabin made of stone.
This home was a little piece of paradise and was everything we wanted for a short weekend getaway. Everything was thoughtfully cared for and we couldn’t be more pleased. We were surrounded with wonderful wildlife, sounds of the calm water, birds chirping, and especially the deer! Everything about this home was delightful and tranquil. The home was very comfortable and welcoming and had everything you needed. We arrived fairly late in the evening and appreciated the host Michael for welcoming us briefly. Check in/out instructions were easy as well. We hope to be back again!

Appliances and kitchen need to be updated with newer everyday items. Cobwebs, spiders and fire ants need to be exterminated.
What an amazing stay! We needed a quiet getaway and this place was perfect. It was very clean, comfortable, private, and peaceful. We loved the easy lake access, the kayaks, the mature oaks, fire pit, fishing gear, and more. The owner, Mike, even let us borrow his golf cart to move around the property. What a great place to recharge. We will definitely be back.
Quaint and comfortable lake house. Sitting outside was unbelievably quiet. Enjoyed watching the deer come by each night. Host (Mike) checked in on us and was very nice and helpful.
My husband and I wanted a place on the lake to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation with our furbabies and Michael’s place was more than perfect. We fell in love with the house and the history. We had best of both worlds we had a very shaded yard with a beautiful view and the perfect beachfront area to swim without any drop offs. And the fireworks during the 4th of July were amazing from every angle. The photo album that is on the coffee table in the living room had me at a big Wow being able to see this place come alive. Michael was an amazing host all the way from leaving fresh flowers on the dining room table to bringing down his golf cart to use to carry our stuff from the truck to the house to the beach area even tho it is only a minute walk to the water edge. We would love to come back even in the fall or winter months as well just to sit under the trees and watch the deer.
We had a wonderful week at our stone cabin by the lake! So quiet…saw lots of deer, jackrabbits, Egyptian Geese, cranes and a visit every morning from a hummingbird! Went fishing on the dock and caught little perch. Walked our dogs countless times each day. Watched a full moon rise over the lake…we were in another world!Mike is great! We like him a lot and he made us feel very welcome. He has kept this rustic gem thriving in the midst of ultra modern rentals. We will be back!
We loved walking by the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing. Watched all the deer by the water and in the yard. Our host left his golf cart to use which was so very nice.
The hospitality was wonderful. The manager was respectful of our privacy and very generous wih amenities. The property access was welcomed with kindness. Beautiful view of lake and the night stars.
This our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! The property is quiet and overlooks Lake Travis. Easy location to bring your dogs and is a quick walk to the water. This is our family’s favorite vacation spot and we plan to make it a tradition!
It was a perfect vacay place and setting for my visit with my son.
I would definitely return here.

Michael Haas is a native Texan and Gail Atwater moved to Lago Vista in 1982 to escape the northern winters. We have raised a family on this property and actually lived in Casa de Esperanza for several years until our house was built. Before we lived in it, Gail ran Casa as a bed and breakfast with much success. We are now retired and look forward to sharing this beautiful property with guests again.
