We really enjoyed our stay, and we even extended it by a day. There was a lot of space to spread out and feel at home. The setting is so beautiful, and the train station is just a few minutes away by car.

Beautiful location for a Tuscan vacation.
The hospitality and property were beyond my expectations. Beautiful views and convenient to transportation and the main roads. Very clean and comfortable with all the extra touches that showed the owners were very special people. Would recommend this property as the hub for any vacation stay in Tuscany.
Everything was very good.
Nice location close to Florence.
Big garden in the nature.
Cristina was very friendly
Many thanks

Cute little cottage
Beautiful, secluded area close to train station, fun little cottage, spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again (if the shower head got fixed and stayed in place). :)
This house is located 10 minute drive to a train station, but lacks A/C and needs fans and bright lighting inside! There is a 1 km drive from the main street up the hill, but the views are nice, the house is supplied with essentials, including washer, soaps, and snacks and above all good communication from Kristen who is the owner. The showerhead is weak and I have seen people complain about it in the past, but it appears no changes being made plus there is some fungus growing in the bathroom with a bunch of webs around some corners.

Thank you for your message. We will be more careful in the future. However, we were surprised when you left to find food on the floor in any room, any objects, paper and bottles under the beds, dirty wine glasses in bedrooms, dishes in the kitchen sink encrusted with food.
About the AC, none of our previous guests has ever asked for it because our house has very thick walls keeping it cool inside. When you first arrived, we explained that in summer you needed to keep windows closed during the day and open them in the evening. However, during your 5-days' stay, windows and the two main doors were left open all day long, even in your absence.
We enjoyed a great weekend getaway here. Owners were very hospitable. We were able to drive in to Florence easily during the days and enjoy the countryside view and atmosphere in the mornings and evenings, with sunsets and the fireplace being highlights. Kitchen was small and could use a better set of knives for cooking, but we managed just fine nonetheless. The complementary bottle of wine and focaccia bread awaiting us upon arrival was the perfect way to enjoy the view before we'd even ventured out for groceries.

Beautiful country side
The apartment was fabulous and well decked out, spacious and comfortable. The apartment was one of 3 or 4 set in the quiet and beautiful hills near Signa, approximately 10Km west of the centre of Florence.
I would recommend the need for a car, but on the couple of occasions when we visited Florence we would park-up at the locale railway station at Lastra a Signa and used the relatively cheap public transport into the centre, which takes about 15 minutes.
The hostess was friendly and helpful and I would consider this rental to have being excellent value and would gladly recommend it.
A relaxing cottage in the country but a convenient location
The property is quiet and surrounded by olive trees on its own ground. It has nice views of the rolling hills from upstairs. We stayed here for over a week while taking days-trips to Florence, Siena, Lucca etc. Super market and shopping centre are all within 6 mins drive in Lastra a Signa. We love that the place is spacious and peaceful yet close to all the amenities. Cristina and her daughter made sure we had everything required for a comfortable stay. They thoughtfully prepared a welcome pack for their guest in case they miss grocery shopping for the first night. This Tuscany house has thick walls and windows with shutters that keep it cool during the day. I went for morning walks amongst the hilly slopes, cooked with the herbs from the garden. Bliss! There is also a decent playground for children 15 mins walk down the road. If you like a country base during your visit to the historic sites, I’d recommend this property.

Thoroughly enjoyed the place
PROS
-Nice owners. Christina, the owner, was patient in her communication and also flexible and understanding with regards to our checkin time. Furthermore, the house was prepared with tiny details (which are not at all the norm) such as, a welcome basket, chocolates on our pillows, a little teddy bear in the baby cot and good quality soaps in the bathroom. Being unusually cold, she willingly turned on the heat for us at no extra cost. The house is well isolated so even in colder times this is a good option (we've been to other places in Italy that were difficult to keep warm).
-Good location to visit Florence. The train station is just 5 minutes away where you can leave your car for free and ride the train into the centre of Florence within 15 minutes. (We did drive our car in one day and managed with the parking but having done both, concluded its more convenient and cheaper to go on the train, as parking in Florence is tough with the no traffic zone).
-Good location for other day trips. The Chianti area, Pisa, Luca etc. are all easily reached. It is a bit of a drive from the highway to the premises, but for us the tradeoff (price and quality of the house vs. distance) was well worth it.
-Tastefully designed spacious house with garden. Kids had room to run around indoors and when the sun shone, they enjoyed exploring the surroundings and the tennis court is a plus. The morning sun shines on the garden so enjoyed our breakfast outside. There is also a nice fire place that unfortunately, we did not get around trying.
-Good value for money. Taking size, standard and location of the house into account.
CONS
-Fast speed internet Wlan. The house does have Wlan that worked on and off. Dropouts were relatively frequent, and the speed was quite limited. This was a function of Internet connections in rural areas in Italy generally being not very reliable (similar experiences in other places) and also the WLAN coverage in the house due to the router not being located in the house but in the neighbouring house. If you're dependend on a conncetion that works both without interruptions (say 2h continuously) and with decent speed/latency (for Skype or video calls), then organise an alternative solution. My husband worked during our stay and needed the internet so this wasn't ideal and we ended up buying a sim card with a data offering. It is definitely fine for occasional email checking and a bit of surfing.
All in all would highly recommend this place.
