Very cute property. The cottage is small but very clean and bright and kitchen well stocked with equipment. The parking is a bit away from cottage at back of group of three houses - could be a bit easier to navigate with a path to house front porch. Very fun area and easy access to Lake Hamlin

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
The host, Jessica was stellar! Outstanding communication. The house was clean but smelled pretty musty. The main bed was terrible. No nightstands to put anything on. Too small. We would not stay there again.
If you have bad allergies or asthma, I don’t know if you’d be able to stay here. The musty mildew smell when we checked in was extremely strong. My husband and the teenagers could stay there, but I had to get a hotel in town. I have asthma and allergies. The looks outwardly looks very clean pretty the smell is unbelievable. As far as the communication we received wrong number for the lockbox. I did feel like it was quite pricey, especially for the smell of the cabin. Sorry to say we could not stay there again, especially if I went.
Very nice & clean accommodations. Also enjoyed the new interior complete renovation which is very tastefully decorated. Suggest a few more towel hooks or racks in the bathroom for towels and clothes to dry.
Very clean and seemingly freshly updated cabin. Comfortable beds and bedding. Good for families. Lots of green space for dogs or outdoor fun. Responsive helpful host. Despite the clean and fresh appearance it does have a strong musty smell that would not be great for people sensitive to smells or with allergies.
Walking in the cottage it is updated. But what hits you right away is the mold smell. We seemed to be stuffy (nose) at night /mornings from the mold. There were no closets, which was fine, but no hooks anywhere to hang clothes. Be nice to have a couple h hooks in each bedroom and bath. Location is Beautiful!!! Cottage is beautiful!! Sits up so you can see Lake Hamlin.
My family and I recently stayed at the Bass cottage and highly recommend staying there. The cottage was well set up and clean/ maintained; only issues would be, the lighting attracted outside bugs (make sure to keep door closed) and there is a dampness in the cottage. But, side note, you are close to the lake- which is very nice!We also brought our dog, which has plenty of room inside and outside.Location was great with only being 10-15 minutes away from downtown Ludington. Across from the water and a POPULAR restaurant!!!Overall, very pleased with our stay and already looking forward to booking here again!!!!
