The cabin was clean and well maintained. Check in was extremely easy and we had no real issues during our stay. Only slight complaint was that the cabin was filled with artwork that was for sale. This is ok and pretty common for the area. However, there were two pieces - one to the side of the main bed and one on the wall behind the bed that I had become slightly paranoid about as they were expensive yet easy to accidentally brush up against. It might be idea to move these just so that someone doesn't accidentally knock them down - especially the piece on the wall, behind the bed that could potentially hurt someone if the glass shattered.
Aside from this minor issue, the area was perfect and scenic. The campground was expensive and easy to navigate and there was a consistent presence of nature via deer and what I assume were wild turkies. Definitely looking forward to another visit in the future.
Great time and experience. Cabins are clean and just like the website shows them to be. Campgrounds are very well maintained.

About the host
Hosted by Clay Speer
Clay is a former Teacher and Football Coach that "retired" and now owns an Art Gallery and Real Estate Brokerage in his home state of Oklahoma. Clay and his wife Julie are assisted by an amazing staff that they are blessed to have working with to help provide a wonderful experience for guests.
Why they chose this property
Clay and Julie have been long time RV travel enthusiasts, they decided that it made sense to invest in an RV Park to be part of their life. While looking in the South East US, The Camp at Cloudcroft was suggested to them and on a visit to scout the property, they fell in love and the rest is history.
What makes this property unique
This is a magical campground in our opinion, beautiful mountains, a peaceful meadow view adjacent to the relaxing Rio Penasco river make this a wonderful place to relax, unwind and get away from it all. We feel this is a great place for events, family get-aways or an opportunity to just have some wonderful "me time".
