Overall one of the best places I've stayed at. With many different options available like a great view, peaceful and comfortable beds. It has everything to make it a perfect place to get out and enjoy nature or stay in and relax.
Our stay was perfect! It fit our schedule, easily booked and a great value. A quiet beautiful setting, super clean and quick communication, check in, check out were all easily accomplished. Thank you for the wonderful stay
Stayed here while visiting family nearby and it had everything we needed (and more). Lots of room for the whole family and our dog along with everything you could use for a short stay.
This was our 3rd time staying here. It is comfortable and secluded and we love the charm it has along with the turkeys, deer, birds and fish we see on the property make it relaxing. We will be back!
This spacious house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the country setting was lovely. We enjoyed walking our dog around the pond and on the trail behind the house. We came hoping to do some star gazing at Wildcat Mountain State Park and the weather cooperated! Communication with the host was a pleasure. We had a great stay!
Five friends welcomed spring visiting the parks and trails in the area around this country home. Lovely time of year to stay in this peaceful place. Very clean and well stocked.

Happy to host Karen and her friends.
We would be happy to host them anytime in the future when their plans bring them to our beautiful Wisconsin hills. Joanne
We loved our stay. The home was clean, cozy and just perfect. What a wonderful spot for a getaway. We would definitely recommend this place. I would love to come back in the fall to see the beautiful colors, and the winter to skate on the pond and do some xc skiing
We had such a nice time during our stay. Joanne was very responsive and helpful with any questions along the way. We very much enjoyed the quiet property. We enjoyed some walks on the property and also enjoyed hikes at State Parks close by. Overall a clean, quiet place to enjoy for a getaway with owners that were incredbily kind and helpful!

Rebecca and James were amazing guests.
They even took the time to bring trash to the dump and start the laundry. Excellent guests. We would be honored to host them in the future.
Just a great weekend getaway with so much to do in the area. Canoed down the Kickapoo, dinner cruise on the La Crosse Queen paddle boat, and watching wildlife from the front yard. Even hunted up some Morel mushrooms for dinner. We will be back!

It's quiet, peaceful and plenty of wildlife to view out the front and rear of the house. We saw a pair of Coyotes along with deer and turkeys, caught bass and bluegill in the pond, which kept the kids entertained for hours.

The hosts were fabulous - we unfortunately had to leave early due to an emergency. The hosts were very understanding and provided us with a credit.
We brought our 2 fur babies and they enjoyed swimming in the pond and checking out the property.
Very clean, rustic, the host is very accommodating. Acknowledge my birthday very thoughtful. Very well stocked in kitchen. The beds are very comfy. A young doe came in the back yard, fished the pond and caught and released several bluegills and pumpkin seed. We saw several large trouts as well. ( Only a suggestion for mixing bowls and griddle)
We will be back💐💞
A cross between a hunting cabin and a suburban ranch feel. Bortle 3. Clear views and no skyglow to the south for astrophotography but pretty wide open in general for any kind of setup.

My three boys, husband, and two dogs loved the property! The rolling hills and local state hiking and Kickapoo reserve provided an adventure. The property was spacious, clean, cooled with air conditioning, fully stocked kitchen, and roomy bedrooms was a perfect fit. The pond provided hours of fishing. The mowed grassed was perfect for dogs. The owner was so pleasant and provided all that you needed for your stay! Future sledding spot for us in the winter! As my 10 year old boys would say, amazing, lovely, perfect, and me like it!

We needed lodging for our family during a wedding weekend at Wildcat Mountain State Park. This home perfectly suited our needs. Everyone who attended was able to participate in outdoor activities offered, visit Amish and area shops, or simply relax while awaiting the next wedding event. The property is situated in an extremely quiet area with beautiful views. The home is clean and well cared for. Everything we needed for cooking and personal care was present. The hosts are easy to communicate with. We felt very at home for our special event.
We chose this VRBO due to it's peaceful location where we would not have to hear the loud blasting of 4th of July Fireworks. Not only was it peaceful, but it was also in a beautiful setting near Amish farms. We drove the many small country roads and saw many Amish horse carts in action. The house is only 8 miles from a good grocery store, gas station, and a couple of good restaurants. We really enjoyed the cheese shop as well. The beds were comfy with numerous pillows and extra blankets. AC worked great. Joanne was an awesome host for us and was always available if we had questions.
We would definitely consider booking here again.
Property is very clean and great proximity to Amish towns. We saw deer in the yard, Fed the fish in the pond. It was very relaxing. Somethings are older but it gives it its grandma charm! House was very clean! Water pressure was great! Owners are always a call away to help answer any questions. We brought half of what we did our first stay because the house is very well equipped with everyday needs. Fresh paint is on the walls. Beds are comfortable as well. We will be back!

Karrie and family were great guests
This is their second stay with us.
Hope they will return.
This was our 6th stay I believe at this property. The owners are always upgrading things little by little every year. It's a relaxing environment and feels like home We will be back!
This has all the comforts of home: clean, comfy beds, great kitchen, roomy living room, 1 1/2 bath. The best part is the location on a side hill with a beautiful view and tons of space for our grandchildren to run and explore. Dark sky at night meant we could see more stars than we could ever imagine. This is absolutely the most beautiful area in the state .

Joelle was a model guest. He and his wife left the house in perfect condition. They are welcome back at anytime to Pleasant Hills.
The property completely exceeded our expectations. The house is dated, sure, but so incredibly clean and well maintained it's impressive. A/C works, appliances are new, mattress felt new, wifi was fast, absolutely no complaints. Either way - you'll want to be spending as much time as possible outdoors anyways. Don't expect easy access to all 80 acres, but there's plenty of manicured and un-manicured space for you and your poky pups to explore. The pond was definitely a highlight for us! When you need to get out, the Dells, Amish country, La Crosse, all within easy reach. And when you need to crash - the wifi and smart TV did the trick. Highly recommend this getaway!
