Well-named "Enchanted Forest" retreat! We have rented many VRBOs in the western US for family gatherings for many years. This is by far the best one we have ever enjoyed. The floor plan, the well stocked kitchen, the decor, the balconies, the view, the location, etc. Very pleased, and very grateful for the lovely experience. I cared for it as if it were my own home!

Gorgeous home-All the amenities

Beautiful, secluded and relaxing. The views off the back covered deck were spectacular. The jacuzzi added to the experience. Beautifully laid out home for large groups.

Property home and area was so beautiful from every room in the enormous home! The access to the 2 large patios was so welcoming and relaxing. This property was great for separating families with children from the main floor. Plenty of kitchen space and dining space for family of 12. Location was away from town so was very peaceful and secluded for relaxing. We all loved it!!

2024 Christmas Family Vacation

There were 14 of us ranging from 84 to 9 years old. The layout of the house was perfect for us. Everything was exactly as described. The house was equipped with all the necessities for our 6 day trip.

Beautiful mountain estate!

Gorgeous property, easily accessible, close to Purgatory resort, plenty of space and tables and chairs for large groups multiple families! Beautiful view off the incredible back patios both lower and balcony, loved sitting in hot tub on balcony and watch the children play in the snow! Owner has sleds and shovels in garage to use for snow play, along with a ping pong table and foosball table and media room for kids! Everyone wants to come back next year, thank you to the owners for having our family and friends!

Stay in Durango

The property was a wonderful house with room for all of our family. It was a shoe less house, the floors really need to be washed. The floors looked clean, but each day we wore different socks and they were very dirty. Other than the floors the house seemed pretty clean. The house was everything we needed for our family.

Our family of 13 (9 adults & 4 young children) stayed here for a family reunion &, overall, we loved our stay. The cabin was beautiful, spacious, & well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking meals. We loved the patios, theater room, & hot tub. Beautiful lake views & wildlife made the setting unforgettable. We also appreciated that management was responsive before & during our stay, providing a Pack 'n Play & baby gates for our toddlers. Unfortunately, our stay started with significant cleaning issues. Despite a large cleaning fee, we arrived to unemptied trash, used cotton balls & Q-tips left out, poop & pee in the toilets, hair in multiple beds, we wiped kitchen countertops with disinfecting wipes to start dinner & they came away black, & floors that turned our bare feet black walking across the room—even though the home asks guests to remove their shoes. Management sent someone that evening, which we appreciated, & provided fresh bedding & light cleaning, but our family still spent hours washing the children's bedding so they could get to bed, disinfecting surfaces, & re-cleaning before we could settle in, delaying dinner & bedtime for everyone. Dirty floors were mentioned in other reviews, so this may not have been an isolated incident. The area rugs could also benefit from more frequent deep cleaning, as they had a noticeable foot odor. The cabin itself is fantastic, but given the condition on arrival, I believe the full cleaning fee should have been refunded.

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that your family enjoyed the home, the beautiful lake views, and the outdoor spaces. We do, however, want to clarify the concerns regarding the home's condition upon arrival. As soon as you contacted us, we immediately sent a member of our housekeeping team to the property that same evening. They thoroughly cleaned the floors and surfaces and remade every bed with freshly laundered linens. While we understand that any housekeeping concern can be frustrating, our inspection found the issues to be much more limited than described, consisting primarily of one small trash item that had been overlooked and a hair found on one bed (the linens were clean). Nevertheless, we took your concerns seriously and addressed them immediately. In addition, we refunded your cleaning fee as a gesture of goodwill, even though we responded promptly and resolved the concerns during your stay. We appreciate your comments, as they help us continue to improve, and we're glad your family was ultimately able to enjoy the cabin and everything the property has to offer.

Guys week

Great house for a guys week. Everyone had their own bed, two living spaces made for everyone not squished together, and the views and outdoors were awesome. Would recommend for large groups who want the outdoor views and indoor space. 10/10!
