Seriously a fantastic place! It was a perfect set up for my family of 5. We were out enjoying Harper’s Ferry from sun up to sun down, but the beds were plush and the bedrooms had no windows so you could sleep in without being woke up from the sunrise.
Quiet and clean home with lots of open space in kitchen and living room, including a large breakfast bar. Lots of board games and a good tv for streaming. Layout was efficient and kitchen was well stocked. The ability to park in the garage was a plus. Check in was easy. Host was extremely prompt with communications. We did not use the extra kids bunk beds, but they are available if you want to bring the family. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in this area.
Great cabin to stay in, our family enjoyed the openness of the kitchen and living area as well as the bunk beds in the bedrooms. Area was quite with great scenery. We will definitely try to stay again if we are in the area and the cabin is available.
The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I and our 3 kids. The one bedroom was geared more towards kids, so they loved sleeping on the bunk beds with the pull out mattress. The kitchen was spacious for us to cook meals while we were there. It was nice and clean upon arrival. We had a great stay!
Had a great time in harpers, enjoyed staying at the cabin and watching the fireworks show right from the front yard next to the fire pit, awesome view!
Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Very responsive host. Clear instructions for check in and check out. Useful information for our stay in Harpers Ferry. At the house we had everything needed for our stay. We enjoyed hiking in Yellow River state Forest and Effigy Mounds National Monument during our stay.
Loved the location, well stocked kitchen, very nice beds! Had a fire outside and watched the meteor shower even though the moon was bright! The bunk beds are cute!!
We were happy with this clean beautifully maintained home . This place has everything you need !! There's a restaurant and bar very close ,like a minute drive that was very nice.We were in town just for the weekend but wish we could have stayed longer ,the leaves are changing and its really pretty this time of year . We would stay again at this place in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.
We had a wonderful stay the the Cabin in the Bluff. The property was clean and as pictured. The check in and check out process was easy. The host, Ryan, responded quickly to our few minor inquiries during our stay. We would definitely stay here again! The property is on a main road, but it is still a quiet location surrounded by the beautiful bluffs. It is ideally located for very short trips to Prairie du Chien, Effigy Mounds, Pikes Peak, St Feriole Island, boating on the Mississippi, and Maiden Voyage tours. It was even less than an hour to get to the Upper Wisconsin River for a day of canoeing on a smaller river without boats and barges.
This property was exactly what we needed. It was close to a nice park and splash pad for the kids. We were a little nervous with the river so high so we chose to stay close to the house.
The house was cozy with plenty of room for everyone. Bunk beds were a hit with the little ones.
We took a little drive to Spook Cave and it did not disappoint.
We were all able to see something new.😃
Nice place and location for what we were doing "fishing river". Only thing that was an issue was the thermostat being remotely controlled. We arrived & it was set at 74. Me & my friend are heat sensitive so we set it to 72 which was perfect. Arrived back to it at 73 after a days fishing & couldn't change it. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Denny, thank you for your feedback on the thermostat. While programmable, we can always many any adjustments our customers wish if they reach out. We appreciate your stay and hope you’ll consider coming back in the future!
This was a wonderful place to stay for a getaway. It was quiet and located in a beautiful area. The first morning we were there I was outside having a cup of coffee and a doe and her fawn walked into the front yard from the woods across the street. Overall it was fantastic and I'd definitely stay here again.
Very clean, everything you need. Very convenient to town and the river and 10 minutes you are in yellow river forest! Great location.! We loved it and will definitely look to book this property again.
We spent several days hiking at the various parks in the area and stayed here with our two young sons. They loved the bunk beds and gazebo. It was clean and comfortable and a nice place to stay.

About the host

Our family grew up boating, exploring the outdoors and spending time in the Harpers Ferry area. We bought this cabin as a place to slow down and enjoy quiet moments together, but our lives are busy and we are not able to visit as often as we hoped. Rather than let the cabin sit empty, we want guests to enjoy it and experience the scenic views, peaceful atmosphere, great food and natural beauty of Northeast Iowa. Sharing this place feels better than keeping it to ourselves, and we love knowing others can make memories here too.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it gives instant access to the best parts of Northeast Iowa. We wanted a cabin that felt peaceful but still connected to everything, and this location offers that balance. It is a perfect landing spot for families, couples, outdoor adventurers and small groups who want comfort, quiet and easy access to the experiences that make this area special.
