Best peaceful stay

I lost my mother two months ago. This stay was a chance to breathe and relax for the first time since then. The river always calms me so this was the perfect getaway. House was perfect and all the amenities offered really did make this an absolute breeze of a weekend. Thank you

The perfect quiet spot.

This is my second time to stay at Deby’s Casa Sweet. It will continue to be on my top 3 list for the hill country. We live in the desert of Midland, TX so having water out our back door is simply more than we could ask for. We will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous

Stayed two nights with two girlfriends and had a blast! CSS has everything you need to relax by the river. The property is very well maintained and beautiful. There are several comfortable areas or relaxing. The kitchen is small but comfortable (bring your own K-cups). The bed is crazy comfortable and the towels are very nice and soft. The decor is lovely and Deby was a very communicative, thoughtful host! We'd definitely stay again!

Birthday getaway

This place is a gem! The location is close to everything. The river is in your backyard. The Sweet Suite had all the river equipment we could hope for! The layout inside and outside was well thought out and all the space was utilized by us during our stay. Deby was so kind, accommodating and quick to respond to any questions I had before and during our stay. We cannot wait to book this place again and recommend to our friends! Book it now. You won’t be disappointed.

🌷 Mother’s Day Getaway

This property has definitely earned bragging rights! Everything was PERFECT and better than expected / advertised! The owners surprised me with a sweet Mother’s Day card and bouquet of tulips! Great quiet location on the Guadalupe River with fantastic neighbors that welcomed us to their neighborhood. We had fun Kayaking, floating, fishing and playing corn hole. We will definitely book again in the near future!

It was so beautiful and comfortable. Everything we needed to feel right at home. It was home away from home. Our kids loved it so much they were not ready to leave. What a wonderful, surprising stay. It was out of this world. So many nice surprises and everything you would ever need. Loved the quaint decorations and the most beautiful landscape, fire pit, and river view. It was cold but my grandson still got in the kayak...Made his trip. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. If only VRBO would let us post pictures..........

The Sweet Suite is a charming cottage suited for 2 people. The linens smell wonderful and the bed is soft and cozy. The towels were soft and absorbent. We were going venture out on a kayak but noticed the bottom step leading to the river had fallen in. It was not until I mentioned this to the owner, that I was made aware the empty lot next door has steps to access the river. The “need for more information” was the theme for our stay. We struggled with the Keurig and we have had at least 5 Keurigs in our lifetime. Operating instructions, please. We suggest you bring your own coffee cup as the Keurig pours the cup to the brim, leaving no space for crème. The dish drainer is expandable so push the bottom out and it will expand. Instructions please. We also “needed more information” about the neighborhood. Please know that looking out the kitchen window you will see trailer homes with 4 septic tank pump trucks parked in the front yard . (This review may not allow for pictures to be posted ). Of concern, the bathroom shower sprays water over the ½ wall onto the toilet. Wet toilet sliding was a new experience! Also the floor tile grout needs some serious cleaning. Given the hefty cleaning fee and administrative fee charged by host, some chlorox and soap would clean that tile grout right up.

Our Casa Sweet Suite crew takes great pride in having a reputation for exceptional communication, notably our response time. Upon booking, our welcome message notes that we’re available for any questions. So we find ourselves disappointed to not have had the opportunity to help you navigate the coffee maker and dish holder during your 3-night stay. For the sake of clarity, when providing our guests the property’s access code in the check-in message, we also include the following helpful info, “You may access the river…At the newly revitalized stone pier located on the grounds of Casa Sweet Suite.” All the open land to the right is the grounds of Casa Sweet Suite. Guests can rest assured, we have the best housekeeping company in the area and they are wonderful and thorough. The tile and grout are cleaned after every stay with environmentally safe products as we continue to follow Covid cleaning standards. Note* Clorox cannot be used on marble without causing damage. Our neighbor with the big house owns a pecan tree spraying business in the Little house across the street (not a trailer home). The tanks on the trucks hold pecan tree spray. It is our hope he will relocate them, in the meantime we are making plans to help visually address the view. Hopefully, you were able to delight in the VIP touches we had specially for you, and most importantly we hope you were able to enjoy the magical view of the Guadalupe River (especially during sunset). Conceptually, Casa Sweet Suite exists for guests to have a transformative, fun and relaxing stay. We are grateful that’s been the consistent experience with all of our guests.

Great place on river.

Small beautiful property right on the Guadalupe River. This place is great for family of 4 mom, dad, and 2 kids or 2 couples. This place has everything you need from BBQ, to paddle boards. Nice big yard in quite neighborhood. Would definitely rent again.

What a beautiful little house!

Quiet romantic getaway

This was a beautiful place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The location is near many hiking trails and close to Canyon lake where we enjoyed a guided fishing tour which we loved! We enjoyed the close town of Wimberley, there is much to explore! Tubing is located just around the corner and there is a delicious Cafe called Granny D's just up the road ! We loved the property, very clean and well stocked with all necessities! We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful gem on the Guadalupe!

We had business meetings in San Antonio and wanted to enjoy a few stress free days afterwards on the river. This place really blew us away....perfection and exactly what we needed to relax, enjoy nature, and forget about everything. The cottage has such an amazing cozy vibe. The colors and choice of materials instantly made us feel like we were home. The hosts have literally thought of everything....even a fresh key lime pie upon arrival! The location is so wonderful, with some of the best birdwatching we have ever experienced, right in the backyard. We had a blast using the provided kayaks for a very rewarding and peaceful paddle up the river...ending our day with a nice little fire and glass of wine. We brought our mountain bikes for the nearby Madrone and Hancock trails. The Madrone Trail is tough, but very rewarding! We also hiked several nearby trails and enjoyed them all. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous Cabin on the river!!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay. Excellent location. Beautifully decorated!!! You can just drop your kayak or canoe right in. Tubing at your fingertips!! We loved the fire pit. Horse back riding and underground caverns close by. A bottle of wine and key lime pie waiting for us when we got there. Couldn't have been better!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Great spot on the river

Very cute spot on the upper Guadalupe River close to the Canyon Lake Dam. It's always a pleasant surprise when the home looks exactly like the photos in the listing. Very clean home, great landscaping, well organized home/kitchen/and even outdoor river toy shed!

What a gem!

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Casa Sweet Suite( very aptly named). Deby surprised us with a key lime pie and a bottle of champagne! The casa, garden, river and hostess couldn’t have been better! We will definitely be returning.
