Alaqua on the Beach-Chesterman Beach, hot tub!

ALAQUA ON THE BEACH is a long-standing rental in Tofino that has been newly updated. Located DIRECTLY on North Chesterman Beach where you can watch the waves roll in while relaxing inside by the fireplace or step out onto the back deck to take in the view while enjoying your private hot tub or fire pit. You'll enjoy the sweeping views of the ocean and relax under midsummer's starry nights or drift off to sleep to the tranquil rumblings of the Pacific Ocean.

Nestled within nearly 1 acre of lush foliage with 100 feet of ocean/beach frontage onto Chesterman Beach, Alaqua on the Beach offers private beach access and infinite views of the Pacific.
The main living area has spectacular hand-crafted cedar ceilings which sets the scene for a perfect Tofino getaway! This is a great property to relax and unwind in or enjoy entertaining in the open concept kitchen and living room area. (6 guest max). The interior design has a sophisticated west coast style. The main level has 2 rooms with one that includes a bunk bed and a second room has a queen bed. Upstairs has the master bedroom with a king size bed and a full ensuite. The home has in-floor heating in the bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with recent upgrades and a cozy fireplace perfect for nestling up after a day surfing. A newly built exterior deck has seating perfectly situated for the ideal beach view. Out back also has an outdoor shower, propane firepit, and a private hot tub!

Host Rules

Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

Age min: must be 27 years or older to book

Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 4-7 night minimum stay and must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays.

Pet Policy: max 2 dogs. Must be owner approved. Sorry no cats allowed!

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws.

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy:. We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

Great location nestled in the trees just steps off the beach but still bright and airy. Aquala is very comfortable and well equipped. Our surfers loved the direct walk to the waves, others loved the hot tub. Our second year booking with TofinoVR who are most helpful and responsive. We will be back!

Wonderful house in a stunning location

We spent an excellent week over spring break here with our kids. The house was wonderful and the beds were really comfortable. The hot tub was perfect at the end of a cool spring day and the sunset views were nothing short of stunning. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again!

Fantastic getaway

This property exceeded our expectations. The location couldn't be better, right off the beach and short drive to all Tofino hotspots. The beds were cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed winding down in the evenings with the hot tub and the big screen tv was a bonus for a late night movie. We would happily stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Alaqua on the Beach. What a special place. The home is in a perfect location with gorgeous light filled rooms and lots of space to stretch out and relax. While the home is dated, it is clean, comfortable, and communication is easy with the management company. We appreciated their willingness to work with some different requests that allowed us to do some tours and have our pets looked after in the home. We would be grateful to return to this home and the magic of Chesterman Beach.

Truly magical stay at the Alaqua on Chesterman Beach. This 3 BR beach house had all the amenities and more, with the most amazing views of the surf.... wish we had time to stay for longer. A true 5 star experience! We will be back!

We had an amazing time at the Alaqua in February with our two adult children. The open lovely space was wonderful, and we loved the big kitchen and round table for family dinners. We also liked how the master bedroom was separated from the other bedrooms. Our kids had the best time walking to surf and appreciated the outdoor shower. The views were incredible and we especially loved watching the surfers from the cozy living room and also from the hot tub! We hope to be back.

Amazing Property

We truly loved the living room area, we spent most of our time in the living room, hot tub and beach. What a lovely home and had a lot of great things for all of us. We love pillows, lots of pillows, lots of blankets to be cozy and great about of dishes so we only had to run the machine onces a day. Great communication with the property manager and we had a lovely time.

We had a great 4 nights at Alaqua! The place is a fabulous fit for families, with wonderful open spaces, a kitchen that promotes gathering, and fantastic views and beach access. The hotwater outside shower is brilliant, and the adjacent hot tub for 6 makes those beach transitions a pleasure instead of a pain. Jacqui at TVR was excellent and timely with communications, making for a great Remembrance weekend memories.

Oasis on the beach

Everything about our stay was 5 star plus! All the little extras included from the local dish soap, shampoo and hand soap; to the quick removal of any garbage and recycling were completely unexpected but very much appreciated. We really enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor shower and out door living space while gazing out to the beach. This was our second time at this property and is a “must book” property! We will be back!
