Hoku Lani, or “Heavenly Star” is a two story air conditioned 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with lofty ceilings, concrete construction and gorgeous details throughout. You’ll love the mahogany and kiwi custom cabinetry and granite countertops in our gourmet chef kitchen. Fine touches like redwood interior doors with patina copper panels, wood and copper details and sculpted pedestals add to the ambience and luxury.

This beautiful 1460 square foot home is situated in the heart of kihei on the Maui Beach Walk, just steps to the ocean and all it has to offer, from surfing at Cove Park, to swimming and snorkeling at Charlie Young Beach. Here you can enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking and other water activities or just lounge on the beautiful sand beach and take in the gorgeous views.

Hoku Lani Beach House sleeps 8 and is spacious for 6, is walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, live entertainment and more. It is ideal for a family, two couples with children, or a family with grandparents wanting a luxurious living space. The beach house is set back from the street, creating a one of-a-kind large spacious yard and private environment. You can walk everywhere, cook indoors or out and is great for entertaining.

This was one of the best houses we have ever stayed at. The home was exceptional, and we had toys for the beach, a lanai out of every bedroom, and a wonderful kitchen for cooking in. There was even a ping-pong table for us to set up outside. The beach was less than a block away. We would rent this house again if the opportunity ever came up.

This is a magical property. So much privacy in the heart of Kihei. Perfect for a family stay or a few couples. Plenty of room, amazing outdoor spaces, and one minute walk to the beach. Truly an amazing place to stay.

Beautiful home

We just returned from a 10 day stay at this beautiful home. The house has so much character. We are a family of 5 adults and had plenty of room. The yard was a great spot to just hang out and relax after playing at the beach all day. The living room had comfortable furniture for lounging in the evenings too. The location is unbeatable. We walked everywhere! Looking forward to our next stay.

Amazing place, amazing location

This vacation house is in an ideal location for beach and amenities in the Kihei/Wailea area. We walked to many places. The house is exactly as the pictures show and the yard and living areas make this a quiet, comfortable oasis in the middle of paradise. This was perfect for our family (3 adult couples) and would also easily accommodate 6-8 people. The host was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. I would choose this place first for any return visits.

Get ready for a special time

Reviews I read hinted at how wonderful this place is and it's true and then some. The grounds, furnishings, equipment, kitchen, and everything you would want in a home to be comfortable were there. So many nice touches and if you want to cook some or all of your meals, you will have no problem having everything you need include a BBQ grill. I only wish we had more time to make use of all the house had to offer. The beach is just a three minute walk to the south and two minute walk to the north is a cove to watch surfers. It's on a quiet street just off the main road and accessible to restaurants, stores, and not a long drive to the other parts of the island. Owner was friendly and communication was easy, friendly, and helpful. We're grateful for a special time.

This property is amazing. The grounds are gorgeous. Lots of room to enjoy the sunshine and greenery on property. The house is great - especially for families with younger children. While we were a group of 6 senior women, it would have been nice to have a bathroom on the second floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The pillows in the second floor bed alcove need to be replaced. Overall a beautiful place.

What a gem!

This lovely Hawaiian home was everything we needed. The location is incredible with restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and highway access very close by. The Charlie Young beach/Kameole 1 Beach is half a block away with a long wide beach and sandy access into the water. Our adult kids played cornhole for hours in the yard, and there’s also a ping-pong table along with everything we needed for the beach. The house itself was always refreshingly cool, we had plenty of hot water for showers, laundry, and dishes, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals at home. There is both a Keurig and traditional drip coffee maker. The king size bed was a bit firm for our taste, but the queen, full, and two twins were very comfy as was all the bedding. The upstairs bedroom does not have a door, but it is not visible from the rest of the house though sound does travel up there. Of worthy note is that the house did not have bugs (well, one baby gecko inside), and the critters outside were geckos, lizards, snails, and one praying mantis. We didn’t have cockroaches or ants to deal with, and we only saw only one big spider in one of the outside plants. Very nice!We would readily stay here again and happily recommend this property. We came to Celebrate our 50th wedding Anniversary with children and grandchildren and everyone loved the Hoku Lani Beach House. Tammy was always courteous and responsive and a pleasure to work with and everything at the house was fantastic. Very neat, clean, well stocked and so close to everywhere we went and did. We definitely recommend the Beach House for a relaxing, quiet, and fun experience and we are looking forward to coming back soon to stay at the Beach house again.

Close to the beach

This house is so close to the best beach and includes all the beach amenities. The house is also close to so many restaurants and food trucks. It is harder to find a house in Maui that fits eight people. The house was very spacious for the large group. We especially enjoyed the large yard for activities. I highly recommend the house. We didn’t have any issues with the house.

Family Trip

We could not be more happy with our stay. We took our parents for their 40th anniversary and this was our first stop on the journey. Everyone wished we would have stayed longer on Maui and in particular, at this home. Everything was as described and more. Our favorite was using the surfboards to surf just about 200 yards down the street at the cove in the morning. We also loved the fresh fish for lunch and dinner at Paia Fish Market Restaurant which is only about a 1/2 mile walk. Thank you for opening your home for our family. We will definitely be back!!!

Awesome Relaxation Spot

Great place to stay in Kihei near the beach. Central to many walkable locations. Beach across the street with turtles sleeping at night. We had fresh mango salsa from the backyard tree everyday. And key lime pie from the lime tree in the front yard. We had 7 adults and a kid. Plenty of space for 6 and 2 in the alcove bed upstairs.

Wonderful beach home!

The Hoku Lani Beach House was perfect for our stay with extended family in Kihei. The house was close to the beach and had all of the items we needed for fun beach days. It was well equipped for grilling and cooking at home meals. The owners were responsive and helpful when needed. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Beach House

We are a semi-retired couple that fell in love with this home and it's location. We also live on Maui and are very happy to share the Heavenly Star (Hoku Lani beach house) with you. All management of the property falls under AFC Management Co. LLC which is owned by retired luxury event planner and income property manager Tammy Ash Perkins.

Why they chose this property

Hoku Lani in english means Heavenly Star… This single family home is set on 10,000SF of fenced land that was originally built in 1947 and beautifully remodeled in 2000 with ongoing improvements to this day.

This rare property is grandfathered in as a legally zoned vacation rental.

The home is beautifully built and fully furnished for families, couples, kids, retreats, or anyone wanting luxury living space.

The Hoku Lani Beach house is in a great location setback off the street, has a chef’s kitchen, is great for entertaining and is across the street from the beach. The home is large, spacious and provides a private living environment. You can walk anywhere, cook inside or out, walk through Kalama park and have access to free tennis courts, volleyball, batting cages, basketball, skate park, playgrounds, grocers and much more.
