About this property

What a great opportunity to stay central to an operating Sugarloaf White Pineapple Farm. Stay in a luxurious and comfortable accommodation while observing how real Kauai residents live. Do you love golden retrievers? So do we! 4 of them live and love it here on the farm. The studio features a LARGE Big Screen TV with cable and lots of movie and TV program streaming. as well as fast WI-FI. Parking is easy and close to the accommodation. There is a weekly game of "Farmball (softball) on the farm and you are welcome to watch or play. You can take a scenic walk to a secluded beach in 15 minutes or drive down in 5. There is a great outside lanai with a table chairs, a small gas barbeque and garden views. The Sugarloaf Farmstay is a legal, permitted "homestay", Class IV Zoning Permit Z-IV-2015-35, Use Permit U-2015-34, Special Permit SP-2015-12.

Because many guests have found difficulty arranging a rental car (the BEST way to explore Kauai) at reasonable rates, we have 2 fun cars (one sedan, one SUV) which we make available to our guests. If this possibility sounds of interest please inquire after you make your booking.

Beautiful Property in Great Location

We loved our stay at the Pineapple Farmstay! The property is beautiful and very close to Rock Quarry BeachThe space is much bigger than we thought and had everything we needed.

EXCEPTIONAL!

Our first days in Kauai were spent at Twin Palms cottage on this property and our last 7 days in this lovely apartment. Twin Palms is secluded and quiet whereas the apartment puts you closer to the buzzing hub of this working farm, friends and family…privacy is respected and valued as an ethos on this farm. We had everything we needed to enjoy staying in and at the same time close enough to grocery and food options to pop out on a whim without a lot of planning required. Same for beaches and island activities! Turning off the main highway to a long quiet road with turnouts to the pineapple farm and a great beach on one side a botanic garden opposite, all walkable and add to the magic, majesty and beauty of this place! Bruce, Cyndee and their extended family were welcoming and exceptional hosts. We loved it!

Amazing stay at the plantation farmstead

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and accommodating hosts. We both enjoyed having a car to get around the island. Waimea Canyon was especially fun.

Homey space with many amenities

My now husband and I spent our honeymoon at the pineapple farm. It was so welcoming and cozy. We loved driving the rental car to Kilauea for coffee and breakfast at Java Kai. Kapaa was only a 15-20 minute drive, and we enjoyed the shops there on one of our vacation days. We both love animals and smiled every time the golden retrievers welcomed us back from a day of exploring. Highly recommend this accommodation if you want a more homey, down to earth experience, as opposed to staying at a resort or hotel. Thanks again, Bruce! 🍍

We are Bruce and Cyndee Fehring, owners of the 7.6 acre property on which the Pineapple Farmstay studio is located. We moved to Kauai from the Northeast 33 years ago, and have raised our family and created a wonderful life here. We designed and built the Pineapple Farmstay in 2021. We welcome guests to come and enjoy this slice of Paradise.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because of it's perfect location, central to the North Shore, but not so far north as to not be within easy striking distance of the entire island. Up and out of the tsunami zone, we enjoy the weather here. Lovely ocean beaches, enough rain to keep everything green and facilitate the occasional stunning rainbow, but not so much rain as to be problematic. PLUS, we can walk to beautiful, remote, uncrowded Kahili-Quarry Beach! There are a multitude of other world-class beaches within a 15 minute drive. Come enjoy this classic vacation rental on acreage.
