While staying at this property you can wake up to a beautiful view of Colorado mountain landscapes while enjoying a cup of coffee watching ducks and birds float on a nearby pond and livestock grazing the fields. We are located in the small rural town of Bayfield, and this location is 30 minutes from Downtown Durango and the Durango Airport, 1 hour from Purgatory Ski Area, 1 hour and twenty minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area, 1.5 hours from Mesa Verde National Park, 1 hour and twenty minutes from Canyons of the Ancient, 45 minutes from Aztec Ruins National Monument, and 25 minutes to Vallecito Lake . It's a great getaway that is close to the hustle and bustle of town.

This cabin shares property with the main residence that is 200 feet away, so daily chores, dog play and activities will occur during your stay. Please note that the house is located in a rural area. Despite our cleaning and Maintenance efforts, you may encounter insects and/or wildlife in and around the property. For this reason it is very important you keep all screens to windows as well as doors closed all the time to avoid entry of insects/wildlife into the house. Even the best prevention efforts aren't guaranteed.

We are a dog friendly property; however, dogs are not to be left unattended during your stay. We have a one pet maximum, with a $25 pet fee. The property is not fenced.
