About this property
Pocono Cabin in Masthope Mountain Community
Come relax in our 2 bedroom/1 bath cabin in the Poconos! Situated in lovely Masthope Mountain Community and nestled in the quiet woods, this home has been completely redone with new floors, new kitchen, fresh paint, and updated bathroom. The one level floor plan makes it easy to vacation with your kids, your parents, or your friends! Featuring 2 bedrooms, our home can sleep up to 6 people. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen and a twin bed and there is a futon in the living room.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware and utensils, and a Kuerig coffee maker. Outside is a gas fueled BBQ grill and a firepit for making s'mores!
The community has 4 seasons of fun. In the summer, there are two outdoor pools at the mountain summit where there is also a Tiki bar, restaurant/pub, playground, and mini golf. At Westcolang Lake there is a beach with a swimming area with Lifeguard, diving docks, fishing dock, volleyball court, playground, snack bar and bocce.
In the winter, Masthope is home to Ski Big Bear with skiing, snow boarding, (including lessons and rentals) and tubing as well as cross country skiing - renters get a discount on skiing! Get more information on the Masthope . org website.
In addition, there is a full service restaurant and bar at the Summit or you can run into the Marketplace at Masthope for sandwiches (breakfast or lunch) at the deli, milk, bread, snacks, etc.
The community also has horseback riding stables, basketball, volleyball, and tennis.
Some amenities are based on a fee per visit like the riding stables and ski hill, for others you will need to purchase an amenity badge from the Community Office. The badges are $7 per person per day and you only need to purchase them for the days you would need them. (No amenity badges are available for 4th of July weekend.)
Nearby you can visit the Three Hammers Winery for guided or self-guided wine tasting flights. Or just enjoy a bottle and sit down with some friends and family at a picnic table, stroll the nature trail and relax on a bench, or take in the beauty of the property on Adirondack chairs surrounding the pond. Picnic blankets and/or chairs of your own are permitted. Music performances are being added back in over the summer, check their website for more information. At nearby Woodloch you can golf or enjoy a spa treatment.
Enjoy lunch, dinner, or a cocktail at the New Inn at Lackawaxen along the Delaware River just minutes away and watch the eagles float along the river. Cross over the river and take a scenic drive down the river stopping at some of the overlook spots for breath taking pictures.
Tubing, rafting, and kayaking are available at several locations on the Delaware River just 15 minutes away. Google the area for more info.
All guests must be registered with the Community Office so the names and ages of all guests will have to be provided. The administrative fee covers the cost the association charges to register guests and for the issuance of a compactor pass (garbage must be taken to the compactor end the end of your stay - its 3 minutes away at the lodge). The association charges an extra $25 admin fee if you are registering within 7 days of your start date. The office, where you will need to check in, is open 7 days a week most of the time, check the website for daily hours. For after hours arrival, you can just check in the next day,

About the host
Hosted by Maureen Goff
My sisters and I purchased this home because we love everything the Poconos has to offer. We love to spend our free time here, but when we can't be here, we want to share our wonderful community with you!
Why they chose this property
This home is located on a tucked away street, but just minutes to the mountain summit and all the action!
