The house was super cute and secluded but easy access to town! Even the dog was happy!

Needs a good deep clean and new fridge. Adequate for somewhere to lay heads but lacks in amenities for comfortable inclement weather family coziness indoors (needs updated entertainment system and comfortable lounging). Needs a good deep cleaning from top to bottom

Comfy mountain cabin.
The area around the comfy mountain cabin was beautiful and peaceful. While the cabin could use some updates, everything was generally comfortable. However, there were some cleanliness issues. The property manager was very helpful and easy to work with.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is convenient to everything in Boone and includes lots of kitchen essentials. We spent most of our time on the spacious back porch enjoying the fresh air.
This is our second stay and a perfect location for the Grandfather Highland games. Plenty of room and a good distance from everything. The host is very easy to get a hold of and answers any and all questions we have.
I went back and forth between four and five stars, but ended up with 5 because this was by far the most affordable stay, convenient location, clear communication, and wonderful host. Other guests may be intimidated by the baseboard heat or quaint accommodations but it was perfect for us and our dogs. Very thankful for the hosts who were communicative and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a very nice time staying at this property, was not disappointed.
We always take a trail cam with us to see what wildlife is in the area. We saw deer, gray squirrels, red squirrels, raccoons, opossums, chipmunks, and a fox. Plenty of birds too.

Dusty and Moldy, great location , good for young adults possibly.
The pictures are accurate as far as decoration… but not accurate as far as the cleanliness it’s hard to explain, but the bottom half is mostly clean, and there is just a lot of dust along the upper edges of the home and surfaces and for someone like me with allergies it was really hard to breathe. We thought we could spend some time outside on the back deck, but the patio furniture was left Filthy, and I did not want to clean that. There was black mold on cabinets and shower liner and mouse droppings in the cabinets and around the laundry area.

I would not return
There were couple of safety issues - A leak in the kitchen caused the tile floor to be wet all the time. There are loose boards on the deck where you could step on one end of the board and the other end would come up in the air. Additionally, the mattresses were hard, and the pillows seemed to be scrap foam in a pillowcase.
We had a fabulous stay. The owner communicated with us through out our stay. We had no issues at all. Nice distance to everything. We will hopefully be able to rent again.
We decided to just get away for the weekend, to go snowtubbing and play in the snow. The area was beautiful were we stayed. Lee was wonderful and took care of us.
This property has potential! It was not clean! We had to wash and change sheets, they were dirty! I had to vacuum and clean underneath beds! Rat droppings everywhere, in closets, drawers and cabinets! I contacted the host and got a sarcastic response!
Unfortunately we came during hurricane Helene. We had no power or water but our host was very receptive to messages and provided us with as much info as possible. Praying for all those affect in Western NC.
