We very much enjoyed our stay here. We loved being high up in trees and surrounded by nature. The deck on the main floor wrapped completely around the house so you could have your choice of where to sit and enjoy the view. The property was exactly as described. The lower floor had arcade games and a plenty of seating to enjoy a movie. The main floor was spacious with a well stocked kitchen. The owner has labels on cabinets and drawers to easily find what you need. We thought the bedroom themes were cute - bear, wolf and Americana. Each were comfy and relaxing. The host had a Welcome binder with house instructions and information about the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful place with awesome scenery. Did a father and son trip with my brothers and teenage sons and everyone really enjoyed the stay. This cabin has everything you need and more for families of any age. Our boys really enjoyed the game room. No issues whatsoever and contact with host about any issue was handled quickly with good communication. Highly recommend!

The location of this house is impeccable. If you want a forest mountain get away this is where you'd want to be! The house is gorgeous and well maintained. The ability to cook whatever we wanted was excellent. There were some not so luxurious things so I am glad we paid what we did because sleeping in those beds with those showers I would not have been impressed. The upstairs shower is unusable. Just a tickle of water comes out and the moldy caulking gave me the icks. The down stairs shower, I almost fell getting in and my husband almost fell getting out. We are young fit people so I would be worried about how slippery it is for anyone else. Beyond the slippery tub floor that shower didn't drain so you are slowly filling up in your soap scum while trying to clean off. The cleaners need to pull the oven out and get the food build up out from both sides stuck between the counter. The upstairs bed feels like two people laid in one spot for their entire lives. Even when the bed was made there was a mound in the mattress down the center. My husband and I barely slept it was so uncomfortable, again happy I wasn't paying more a night. It can't be that hard to buy a new mattress when you charge luxury prices. Besides those few things, esthetically I wouldn't expect a log cabin to have fake wood floods. Overall though, the wildlife and out side time is unmatched. We love the location and the game room!

We're also glad you enjoyed the game room! We are equally grateful that you brought several maintenance and comfort concerns to our attention. We take these matters seriously. The downstairs shower has already been repaired, the broken upstairs shower fixture is scheduled for replacement on October 28, and we are replacing the master bedroom mattress. We're also addressing the caulking, checking the bathtub's slip resistance, and following up with our cleaning team regarding the oven. We continually invest in improving Mystic Mountain Lodge because we want every guest to enjoy both the beauty of its surroundings and the comfort of the home itself. Thank you again for staying with us and for helping us make the experience even better for future guests.

Mystic Mountain Lodge is worth every penny. The home is beautiful, the surrounding property is breathtaking and the owners are very communicative. The peacefulness and location cannot be overstated. Loved it!

Cool house for the family. Not far from Cloudcroft and we drove an hour for white sands and 2.5hrs for Carlsbad. House had everything you would expect and was as advertised. Saw wolves, deer, elk, turkeys all around the house.

We had a first class experience staying at the cabin. Our host and local contact went above and beyond in communicating and ensuring everything went well with our stay. This quiet getaway was just what our family needed and the views from the gorgeous windows and wrap around porch can’t be beat!

Being from Texas, we loved the temps, hi’s in the upper 60’s/low 70’s and lows in the upper 40’s/low 50’s. Perfect for sitting on the deck drinking coffee in the mornings. So quiet you could hear a pin drop all day. Vanessa was an excellent host.

Excellent vacation spot

We had an excellent vacation. The cabin was as described. The view was excellent and the location/privacy was perfect. The coffee maker was a little tricky but it was AMAZING once we figured it out. Deer all around was a highlight.
