TOO QUTE! BEACH COTTAGE: NORTH BEACH! 4 BEDROOMS! 2.5 BATHS!

'Too Qute! Beach Cottage' is the quintessential beach cottage!

'Too Qute! Beach Cottage' accommodates up to ELEVEN (11) family members maximum in four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Please note that we rent to mature, respectful and responsible families only. If you are looking to rent a home to host a party, stay up late and disturb our neighbors, please continue your search as this is not the place for you. If you are a quiet family or group of friends that will treat our home, the contents and our neighbors with respect, please let us know that in your inquiry and we will gladly welcome you to stay as our guests. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

As you can see in the floor plans on the Photos page of this listing, there are two bedrooms located on the first floor. One first floor bedroom has a queen bed and the other first floor bedroom has a full bed with a twin bunk bed above. There are also two bedrooms on the second floor. One second floor bedroom has a full bed. The other second floor bedroom, which we call the Master Bedroom, has a queen bed with a twin day bed and pull out twin trundle bed beneath. The Master Bedroom has views of Lake Michigan and the North Beach.

There is an outdoor front patio, a front screened in porch as well as a spacious rear deck and patio area. There is a Weber propane gas grille on the back patio. There are also partial lake views from the back deck.

The cottage is cute and quaint. It reminds us when we were young and our parents rented a cottage in the neighborhood back in the late 1960's and early 1970's. There is still some of the original beaded board wall and ceiling panelling. The cottage and contents have a lot of quirky charm and character that you can not find in today's new construction beach homes. We feel that it is the quaint, and somewhat modest interior decor that makes our cottage 'Too Qute'! We hope you agree.

Due to a change in the law this year there is no longer parking available on Avery street unless you have the 3 year parking sticker. There is on street parking on North Shore Drive just a short walk from the cottage. Parking permits can be purchased at South Haven City Hall and the South Haven Police Station.

Check in is after 4:00PM Eastern. Check out is before 10:00AM Eastern.

Family Time

The Too Qute is just that, too cute. Plenty of room in the living space and dining area for a big group and the outdoor space is HUGE. It is steps from the beach and walking distance from shops and restaurants. We hope to be back next year!

Perfect summer cottage for a beach vacation

The cottage was roomy and so cute- clean and had everything we needed for a great week at the beach. We especially loved the outdoor shower for rinsing sunblock and sand of the kids. House is located right by our favorite beach and a short walk downtown. Kailee was a responsive and helpful host. Would highly recommend this as a rental- our family loved it!!

This location is simply exceptional. You can see the beach- you can walk to downtown- truly a wonderful location. The home itself has everything you need. The air conditioning upstairs is tricky because this an older home.

Nice little cottage in the heart of north beach. This property is great for two families. The furniture is a bit tired and overall the cottage could use some updating. However, if location is your priority and modern amenities are not a concern, then this is your place.

Lovely mini vacation by the beach

The property was lovely and located very close to the beach. Loaded up the wagon with all our items and kiddos and walked just a couple of minutes to a very nice beach. Ice cream right there on the beach. Coffee shop within walking distance. Beautiful neighborhood. House was clean and nicely stocked with all we needed. Kailee, our hostess, was excellent. Answered all questions promptly. She was a pleasure to work with. Would stay here again!

The location is great and the home was very clean. It was nice they had 2 grills as it made it much easier to cook for a larger group. The communication was lacking as I had to call him the morning of to get check in instructions. The dishwasher didn't work which was an inconvenience. .

perfectly imperfect!

We loved our stay here because it was so close to the beach! I could walk out with my coffee cup in hand for a sunrise or catch a sunset even at the last minute! The cottage was roomy enough for our family group of 7 plus an infant. It definitely has the feel of an original beach cottage rather than the giant renovated beach mansions that now surround it, so it comes with its "old cottage" quirks, but we didn't mind. We used the grill almost every night and ate on the back deck with the sun umbrellas up. The bedrooms are small but we didn't spend a lot of time in them. Any questions I had were answered right away by Kailee who was very helpful. It was comfy and sweet and a perfect location to be right on North Beach--easy to make trips back and forth if we needed to. We walked to Bundes for coffee and danishes in the mornings and walked to the concession stand for Sherman's ice cream every night. Had a great week!

Responsive Owner, Dirty Property

I recently stayed at this rental property and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the place was just ok…a little dated. While getting ready for bed the first night we quickly noticed the home was not clean — there were noticeable signs of mice, including droppings in several areas (ON TOP OF THE BEDS AND ON MATTRESSES UNDER SHEETS!!!!!!!), which made the stay uncomfortable and unhygienic. The overall condition of the unit felt neglected, and it clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned or properly maintained prior to our arrival.That said, I do want to acknowledge that the owner was very responsive and did try to address our concerns quickly once they were raised. While I appreciate the communication and willingness to help, the condition of the property simply didn’t meet basic cleanliness standards. They cleaned the property after it was brought to their attention, but clearly did not clean enough before. With some deep cleaning, minor updates, and pest control, this place could be a decent rental in the future. But based on my experience, I would not recommend it in its current state. However the location was great, and the owner was willing to work with us!

Fantastic in Every Way

My wife and I rented this property to have a relaxing fall weekend. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. They did everything to ensure that we had a great time on our vacation. This was our first time renting this property and our second time renting from this owner. Both times have been phenomenal. The location of this rental could not be any better. Each day we took just a few steps to North Beach. This gave us easy access to morning walks on the beach and great sunsets at night. The rental was also just a small, scenic walk to the charming downtown area. We keep coming back to South Haven to enjoy the shops and restaurants in town. The Too Qute Beach Cottage has ample room for families of any size. It's screened porch was excellent to enjoy being outside in any weather. The large living room was excellent for relaxing on the couch, playing board games, or reading a book. The bedrooms were all clean and stocked with comfortable beds. We also enjoyed the large back porch, which was perfect for sitting out in the sun. We have been to south haven about a dozen times and this cottage is our favorite. You can not go wrong with this cottage!

Great location and comfortable home base

This our favorite stay so far in SoHa! We loved being close enough to the beach that we could walk down with a cup of coffee in the morning and let the kids swing on the playground and made sure that we watched several sunsets over the water during our week. Beds are comfy and clean, kitchen is well equipped, and plenty of eating areas for everyone to be together. Great family memories were made this week!

Beachside Perfection

The family and I so enjoyed our stay this past week. The cottage was absolutely perfect for us. Having stayed in South Haven many times over the years, the location of this rental could not be beat. Our little ones could go to the beach whenever they wanted and ice cream and coffee were right around the corner. We really never had to drive. The cottage itself had everything we needed and fit our large group well. I also really appreciated all of the outdoor space we had to grill, make s’mores and let the little ones safely explore. We will definitely be returning!!!

Great secret place

This place was much better than expected. Large screened in porch is great for people watching. Nice private cement backyard with shower. Close to Concession stand and blue moon ice cream. Every room has air conditioning so nice and cool to sleep at own temperature. Would stay there again.

Steps from the beach!

Great stay at Too Qute! Steps from the beach and very convenient. Very comfortable for my family of 6. All the kids had beds and the common space (both inside and outside) was comfortable. The street is a little busy, but safe with ample parking. Strong WiFi. We stayed on Saturday night and there was some noise from the beach, but at midnight it clears out and it was all quiet. Thanks for a fun getaway!
