My family and I loved this cabin! Such a special retreat - cozy and comfortable with such unique details and decor that set the mood for a woodsy get-away. We'll definitely keep this place on our favorites list!
Wonderful cabin just outside Santa Fe in the mountains, but easy trip to town! The property is lovely and relaxing - overlooking a creek. It’s all you could ask for to combine peace and quiet with in-town fun. The cabin is comfortable, cozy, with the perfect rustic but luxurious feel. Well stocked for cooking and a fire, if you choose. I definitely recommend!
This is a beautiful place to escape. The beds were very comfortable, but floors are very creaky which goes along with the age of the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We lost power one night due to some wicked thunderstorms and our host was very attentive.
We had a wonderful stay at the Storybook Cabin. All was as advertised, the cabin is quaint, comfy, and adorable. It was clean, the bed comfy, and the host Melanie wonderful to work with. And when we had a connectivity problem due to an animal chewing the wire, Brian the property manager got a replacement cable and installed it in horrible weather within 24 hrs. I cannot recommend the cabin enough.
We had a lovely stay at this rustic cabin just outside of Santa Fe. It was about a 20-25 minute drive into Santa Fe downtown, and about a 45 minute drive to Bandelier Natl Monument. It was close enough to be convenient, but very remote, peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The cabin was wonderful, and met our needs perfectly. The only note to prospective renters that I would make is that the last 3 miles or so to the cabin is a dirt road that is pretty rough in sections. We drove our pickup and were fine, but I could see a small sedan having a rough go of it. If you're looking for remote, peaceful, spectacular setting, and comfortably appointed, this is the cabin for you.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Storybook Cabin. The cabin is beautiful, and the decorations made us feel welcome and warm. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels during our 4-night stay. Less than a few miles from the Santa Fe Opera. Melanie was great to work with, and Brian, the host, was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Storybook Cabin.
Fantastic cabin. Private and remote. A great place to stay. Plenty of outdoor seating for a morning cup of coffee or an evening drink. If it's too cold outside, the inside of the cabin is warm and inviting with unique and comfortable furnishings. If you want a place to stay away from the city and all the people, we definitely recommend this cabin.
I wish there were more words, other than tranquil, peaceful, beautiful, magical … to describe the serenity of this eclectic, comfortable, and artistic cabin in the woods. It is the perfect getaway. The perfect place to relax and regroup. The perfect place to connect with mother nature in all her magnificent beauty. It was a privilege and a dream come true to stay there. Thank you so much for opening your home to travel travelers.Hope to return soon.
We loved the Storybook Cabin. It was much more than we expected. It was clean, very cozy, and well stocked. We loved the remoteness of the cabin. We did an amazing 8 mile hike with our dogs. The ancient ponderosa pines were breathtaking. And lots of hummingbirds!Brian was a great help in planning our outings. Doug had a great mountain bike ride while I read in a chair out under the trees. It was a wonderful vacation all around. Thank you !!!
This is a breathtaking property. The kitchen is well stocked, and the floor plan is great. I have some orthopedic and balance issues, and for a mountain property I found it to be safe and stable. The location is great. Private but accessible to all Santa fe has. Teseque Village Market is my new favorite restaurant (it was previously Harry's Roadhouse). I would definitely come back.
What a great location, the cabin interiors are very well done in recycled barn wood and other reclaimed materials, books and games for the kiddos and plenty of room for the doggos
My son and I went to this property to celebrate his 13th birthday and do some “man stuff”The area was perfect! Plenty of seclusion and beauty. We got to shoot his air rifle, and at night time the TV was perfect for watching a few movies together. The property was well appointed and fashionably decorated. Everything worked as advertised. The scenery in the area was beautiful, even in an off-season when we went. You definitely need to go outside at night and check out the stars.
Enjoyed the stay, very quiet, very peaceful. The sound of the nearby creek was amazing. The cabin is quite eclectic, there are many interesting things to explore throughout.
