About this property

Cabin on the Pine River - Fishing, Privacy, A/C, Close to Town

**Book Today for Only $300 Down at the Time of Booking ***

Constructed in 2020, with all new decor, furniture and appliances.  This mountain chic home is designed for comfort, with two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, sleeping up to six people. A covered patio overlooks the river valley below, and mountains in the distance. Electric grill on deck.

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King Bed (upper level)
2nd Bedroom - King Bed (upper level)
Living Area: Sleeper Sofa

On the upper level of the home, are two bedrooms, each with king size bed.  A three-quarter bath with large shower serves the two bedrooms. The kitchen is very well stocked and leads out to the patio. Streaming TV only at this cabin. Washer/Dryer, Central AC.

Access to the Pine River is by means of a short walk down a gently sloping hillside through pasture and woods. The King Ditch, a large man-made canal, used for downstream agricultural irrigation, is traversed by a bridge over the waterway. After crossing the bridge, guests are very near the river’s edge, where there is a long stretch of wooded meadow and mixed shoreline of grass and river rock.

This is a fantastic private section of the Pine River, where the sound of mountain waters may be a rapid roar, or a gentle cascade, depending on the seasonal water flow level. Catch and release fishing is excellent in several spots along the river. This is a perfect spot to hone one’s fly-fishing skills. There are nice, flat areas for picnicking, lounging, short hikes in the river bottom and relaxing, outdoor fun.

During winter storm events 4WD is required.

Please note there is a  security camera located outside near the front door to monitor the front of the home. There are no other cameras in the home. The camera is not monitored during guest stays.

Please be aware that there is a private, riverside campsite that is part of this property.  On occasion, you may encounter the homeowner or their guests, while enjoying this beautiful mountain river. The campsite is not available for guest use.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Amazing!
Our family had an amazing time at this property! The home can be best described as having a modern, cabin feel. The home is clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The property is breathtaking! Our two young boys had a blast exploring all that nature had to offer. Our daily sightings of deer made the stay all the more endearing. Highly recommend!

Amazing Mountain stay!!
We loved the house top to bottom!! We had 7 total staying in the group. It was perfect, the 2 teen boys ran down to the river to fish before anyone else woke up. Coffee on the back porch area was great in the morning. Our toddler collected leaf's and we all enjoyed the deer everyday. The house is located right before entering the town of Bayfield we had breakfast and dinner. Very nice small town to drive around. We did ride the train Durango train the drive was a beautiful 20 minute easy drive into Durango. The house was stocked with everything you will needed. Very clean and had plenty of everything. We will definitely be back again!!! THANK YOU for a memorable stay!

So Peaceful!
We had a very relaxing time here. The house had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. It was great to have a washer and dryer. We loved being on the beautiful river! I would suggest more comfortable patio furniture other than the picnic table - we fortunately brought our camping chairs so we used these when relaxing. And the kitchen could use some serious organization - pots / pans / prep bowls, etc were in multiple locations so we had to look around each time we needed something. Luckily there was no one staying at the tiny house so we felt secluded - probably would not be the case if there were other guests because you can see the other house from the first floor windows. Overall, very nice and we do plan to stay again on our next trip!
