A nice place to relax after a long day. Kitchen was well appointed. Host was accommodating with providing us a day cooler. We had a wonderful week. Thank you Christina!
Family and friends stayed together at this quiet home. We were able to cook outside on the grill and the home provided everything we needed for our vacation. The extra freezer outside was a welcome use while we were fishing. Christina was extremely helpful and cheerful to visit with. I'll certainly try to book this home again when visiting the Soldotna area in the future.
After a day of site-seeing, we enjoyed a down home meal in Soldotna at a quaint restaurant then relaxed on the deck enjoying the peacefulness of our remote home. Everyone slept great. Would definitely rent again !
The house is stunning and the property is wild and wonderful. This house was very well-stocked with pantry items and the beds were very comfy. My husband and I stayed in the master suite which had an incredible bathroom attached. We hated to leave!
Lots of space, very clean, plenty of freezer space, and fun outdoor space. Everything in the posting was accurate. We would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet space with a short drive to town.
Little worried after viewing google maps(recommend contacting Google to correct) and pulling into the 1st street. Got to the house and was completely amazed. The views where spectacular. House very clean, the kitchen has everything needed. Comfortable beds. Very little to no road noise in the house. We would recommend this place to anyone. Very happy
This property was a great space for our family get together. The main level had a wonderful sitting and dinning area where we could convene for meals and board games, but there was enough space for us to spread out and have our own rooms.
You can tell the owner really cares about the space and makes an effort to make it homey. She had a guitar by the wood stove, kids toys by the bath tub, and a dog bed in one of the bedrooms. There were lots of little details that went into the space to make you feel comfortable.
If you tried to describe the perfect Alaska VRBO vacation home, here it is! Fairly close to town, but not too close. Check. Big roomy bedrooms. Check. Big beautiful gourmet-style kitchen. Gourmet what? Check! Plenty of hot water for all the guests, and the laundry, and washing the dishes? Check, check, check thanks to a big blue Buderus boiler! The house has a very large beautiful living room with 18’ ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows just like the pictures show, all with lightening fast WiFi as well. The kitchen and master bath have ceramic tile flooring and the living room, kitchen and open stairs have beautifully crafted woodworking details rarely seen in a vacation home. We highly recommend this house for your Kenai River getaway.
This home was the perfect stay for my family for our wedding weekend in Soldotna. The nice quiet setting and bright open windows made it perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked and the living room very inviting and cozy. Plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommend. Lisbeth
This home was exactly what my family of 5 needed on this trip. We were in Alaska for 2 weeks and mostly tent camped until we stayed here for a couple nights. This house is gorgeous and has all the amenities we needed plus some. The view through the back windows was majestic, beds warm and comfy, and the host was super helpful and communicative. If we ever come back to Alaska, I would definitely stay here again and bring more family with me. We were sad to leave.
My husband and I have lived on the Kenai Peninsula for more than 20 years. We have a small farm where we raise dairy goats, highland cows and a small flock of chickens. We grow a large garden where we raise the bulk of our food and I spend the fall harvest season canning and storing for winter consumption. We also enjoy fishing, hiking, berry picking and anything outdoors. We love Alaska and all it has to offer in self sufficiency. We look forward to hosting many people from all over who come to experience this amazing place that we call home.
Why they chose this property
The house is a three story home with the daylight basement being partially accessable for guests(one bedroom, bath and living room) and the main floor and loft set up as our VRBO. This home is our winter farm property and does have several barns and outbuildings but all animals will be at summer pasture. We live just 10 minutes away if we are needed for any reason. If even more room is need for large groups check out my other listing on the street with room for 4 more.
