Unwind in the open layout, surrounded by breathtaking views of the river and 10 acres of private property. Whether you're seeking peace and solitude or adventure and excitement, this place is for you!

Summer dates booking now! We have a 3 night minimum with no check-ins/check-outs on Saturdays. New for this season will be the addition of a kids playground, a second King Bed in the downstairs bedroom, and eventually...

A much requested HOT TUB! The projected launch date for the hot tub is 6/15. If it goes in before then, there will be access to it for a separate fee.

We also provide an exclusive discount code for sauna rentals after your booking! A two night rental with the discount is roughly $360.

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA

FISHING

Fishing directly from the property's shoreline can be difficult, however we do have some tips for fishing along the Chippewa River. Directly across from the cabin, there is a great shoreline for evening fishing, where fish can be seen jumping and feeding on the surface. Upstream, the Crooked Rapids and deeper areas near the HWY 70 bridge provide great for fishing but require moderate skill in paddling to access. Downstream, the Radisson Flowage is a great place to fish, but it requires a vehicle shuttle set up or strong river paddling to get there.

BIKERS/RUNNERS/HIKERS
During the summer, spring, and fall, Tuscobia is a great trail for anyone looking to bike or run. If you are looking for a more challenging biking trail, the 14 mile Flambeau Hills Trailhead is about a half hour drive away, and is open to bikers and hikers whenever the trails are not groomed for cross country skiing.

SHOPPING & DINING

Visit the Meadowbrook Farm Cranberry Gift Shop for unique gifts and souvenirs. There are a couple of great local eateries within a 10-15 minute drive, or head into Hayward for more options (a comprehensive list of our favorites can be found in your guidebook sent to you after booking).

SNOWMOBILERS
We are a fully sled-in, sled-out location (you may still drive all the way to the front door in a vehicle as well). Due to the fact that we are located along a private road, guests are able to ride directly to the trail and back along the road. Tuscobia trail is located 3/4 mile away. We can accommodate one long trailer as well as several vehicles. The trailer spot is located at the top of the drive on the lot next door to us, so doesn't require you to back down the drive. If you are coming in to ride, please consider taking advantage of our cancel for any reason insurance offered in your booking confirmation, to cover you if snow conditions are less than ideal for your stay dates.

Everything we needed!
My mom and I had a wonderful time our 10 days there. Smooth check-in, exceptionally clean and all the amenities at our fingertips. We loved that it was secluded—not another person in sight. We looooved the wood burning fireplace the most and enjoyed many fires. There were so many extra things that we didn’t take advantage of, but love if we come back in warmer weather—kayak, canoe, outdoor firepit with comfy Adirondack chairs, and even the Bags yard game. Any questions we had were answered quickly. The little town close by (10 min away) is adorable—with a grocery store (co-op), coffee shop and bar.

So great!!
Andrew and Brittney are such great hosts! The listing immediately caught our eye and they were so nice and accommodating during the booking process. Check in and check out were super easy and the property is even nicer in person! We stayed here during Spring Break away from school and stress and we are so glad we did. 10/10 will definitely be back again!!

Beautiful and cozy!
This cabin was just awesome. Very quiet and private, with a gorgeous path down to a babbling river. Great set up for a bonfire & relaxing by the river. Plenty of parking. The interior was exceptionally clean. We loved the sunroom & the cozy living room. Plenty of room for a girl’s weekend or a family. The coffee bar was a lifesaver also because I forgot to pack my coffee! Amazing experience.

Chippewa River Heaven
My husband and I booked a last minute mini vacation and our 2 adult children met us up there. The cabin is exactly as pictured and so clean and cute. The 4 of us had just enough space without being on top of each other. The fall colors were beautiful and deer and eagles visited us one day. Brittney was quick to respond to all our questions. Loved everthing about the Chippewa River Cabin!

We are a nomadic family of 5, making our home in the US during the summer before returning to our tourism business in Africa in the fall. We enjoy visits with our 3 boys to the park, creating special spaces for families to enjoy restful vacations, and visiting new places.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this secluded, quiet spot in late 2020. Amidst Covid and everything that was going on it quickly became a small refuge and peaceful location for our family to get away. We love the idea of sharing that with our guests and making sure they have everything they need for a restful vacation.

What makes this property unique

We love that the river flows pretty much all year round, offering peaceful river views all year round!
