Trails End Cabin, Pet Friendly, Lake James Oasis

Secluded cabin in the woods located in Nebo, NC in close proximity to Lake James, known to be one of the most scenic and cleanest lakes in the Southeast. We have an awesome outdoor area to enjoy with fire pit to relax around. Property directly links to the OverMountain Victory Trail via stone staircase with access to hundreds of miles of beautiful hiking. We are best suited to sleep 4 but 6 is ok if you don't mind a sleeper sofa (its new). We are located 4 miles from the Linville Gorge, 2.2 miles from Lake James State Park, 1.2 miles from Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill, and 7 miles from Mica Town Brewery Nebo. Marion Lake Club is within about 5 miles if you love golf, they also have a very tasty bistro called Slices. Mountain bike, hike, swim, kayak or canoe at Lake James State Park. Rent a boat to enjoy Lake James. Unfortunately, our property does not have adequate space for you to bring your own boat.

We loved this property! It was so private, and although we didn’t hike to Fonta Flora Brewery from the house (it was just too hot) we really loved the close proximity of all of the other great trails. The house was comfortable (I might suggest a fan for the front bedroom) and we had everything we needed and more.

The property was better than it shows online! It’s quaint, private, and homey. The outdoor area which is always top priority for me was beautiful and peaceful. We loved being able to walk right up the stone steps and wander trails for miles. We ended up at the brewery and then kept going and found an awesome little mountain stream. The area is close to Lake James and all the mountain activities you are probably looking for. Don’t hesitate to book!

Had a beautiful stay for a week with the family and pups. It's off the beaten path and in such a quiet peaceful place. The instructions were easy to understand and the host was very communicative! The cabin was just right for us and we loved the small creek running through the yard with the lightning bugs sparkling every night at dusk. Definitely recommend exploring the Lake James paddy creek area and also driving the Linn Cove Viaduct on the blue ridge parkway. If you like hiking you should explore Toms Creek falls and Catawba Falls! We loved driving into Marion and eating at Smokey Ques, Countryside Bbq and Mr Bobs Donuts! Sometimes you just need to get away and reset and this is the perfect place to do that! Far enough out in nature yet close enough to explore the wonderful areas all around! Thank you again for sharing this wonderful property with us!

Fantastic getaway!

We absolutely loved this quaint little cottage. It is tucked away providing the quiet and peaceful stay that allows you to reset. The proximity to the Fonta Flora brewery and Lake James was the best! Bonus- you can bring your pup which most places won’t allow.

We had a wonderful stay at Trails End Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we appreciate that we could bring our pup along. He had a great time sniffing all around the property! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the “sound” of complete silence at night! I highly recommend this host and property!
