This place was perfect for me and my husband. It was a great location. This was so close to a lot of trails and activities. It was clean and everything was wonderful. The poperty was down a gravel path, so we had to take it slow in our car, but had no problems. We will stay here again!!
First and foremost I would say the property is exactly as pictured, nicely updated, and was very clean. The property is VERY close to the Pisgah Forest and Linville Falls is just a short hop down the road. Would definitely recommend staying here.
My husband and his work partner stayed as they were first responders after the hurricane Helena effects in Western North Carolina. They stayed for three nights until hotel accommodations could be arranged by their company. The facility was beautiful and comfortable, the laundry facilities worked great, the setting in the environmentwere beautiful. Would very much recommend both the cabin and the host. The host was great to work with. Thank you so much!
The cabin was perfect. Newly decorated. Very clean. All the amenities a family would need. Equipped with pots, pans, dishes, everything if the family wanted to cook. Very close to Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. Short distance to Linville Falls trails. Very close to Grandfather mountain.. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at this cabin. The area is beautiful and there were just enough things to do to keep us busy when we ventured out. The property came as advertised and was clean and everything worked as you’d expect. Would recommend!
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our stay due to Hurricane Helene. The property manager, Tam, was so good to work with. It was a situation that neither of us had control over. She gave us a partial refund and offered a 20% discount if we book with her again. We definitely want to do that in the future
Great property, nicely renovated. Easy access to everything we wanted to do. Great views and good privacy. Wi-Fi access was disappointing but other that loved your place.
The cabin is decorated with Bears and great artwork. It is charming and very comfortable. Has everything you need. The area is beautiful, we came to go to the Bigfoot Festival. Our Grandkids loved everything about the Cabin. There were lots of games to play inside and outside. Lots of area to play on covered porch and decking on the back. We hope to go again maybe next year for the Alien Festival at Spruce Pines. Good time was had by All. Thanks, and we did see a Bear that crossed the toad in front of us while we were leaving. Nice touch.
We loved it here. It was a very cozy cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The back porch is entirely fenced in so our dogs could hang out with us and the outdoor room is great for having breakfast and sitting out and enjoying yourself in the evening with a nice cold drink.
The only thing I will say is I want to reiterate what the owner said about internet. Even using their wifi the Internet can be very spotty and very hard to pull up even simple websites. It's totally understandable given where it is located but living in the "city" can make you forget what lack of internet really is. Just plan for it.
The listing for the property indicated 2 queen-size beds for each bedroom. We counted on this info but there was only 1 bed per bedroom resulting in considerable discomfort for us senior citizens. When we complained, they claimed that we were wrong but then they corrected the listing. There were only 1 washcloth and 1 dishcloth. Again, we were told we were wrong. No consideration at all. We did enjoy the fire pit in the chilly mornings and evenings and the outside dining area.
This mountain home was the perfect getaway for our small family of 3 and our dog. We spent the evenings playing cards and board games and watching movies from the dvd library. It was a little chilly on our trip but we also made use of the deck out back. During the day we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the mountains. Linville Falls hiking area is literally just down the road. The accommodations here were exactly what we needed. The home is charmingly decorated with bear accents all over. There was easy access in and out. I really don’t have anything bad to say. We’re already talking about our next trip and hoping to stay here again!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Incompetent horrible host
If your vacation needs require a host that cares and has any measure of common sense then this probably isn’t for you. You readers don’t need to see a novel of how bad this was so I will paraphrase the best I can. You have to call when you get there. There is almost no cell service at all so walk around by the shed so you can get the code from her. The stairs were covered in ice and snow from the snow storm the week before making them super dangerous with heavy suitcases. The heat inside was not turned on ahead of time so it was 29 degrees inside and the toilets had ice. Pipes were frozen so we couldn’t even shower. She blatantly lied and said the weather had just changed that day like I’m some kind of simpleton that hasn’t been watching the weather a week in advance (the whole reason we went was to enjoy the snow storm coming the next day after our arrival). Then lies and says the house will warm up after an hour. The house didn’t at least get into the 60,s until our third and last day when the wind stopped and the sun came out and we were finally able to take a shower. We had to huddle in the bedroom upstairs to keep each other warm. She wouldnt answer her phone and decided to ignore us after our initial complaint about it being so cold inside. I did get a text saying she would refund us if we wanted to just leave . Like that makes any sense when it’s rural, we don’t know the area, it’s going to snow very soon and we have two dogs.
