Wonderful, cozy and comfortable cottage near the shore
This is a lovely, cozy home near the beach and town of Old Saybrook. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms as well. The backyard was great to play with our dog or just to have dinner on the back porch. Overall, a great stay. Thank you for sharing your home!
This was the best of VRBO rentals that we have made. The house was clean, well cared for, ample parking, amenities covered our needs including a backyard for kicking a ball, Karen was very responsive to any of our communications and when necessary essential shopping was minutes away. Moreover, Beluga Whales at Mystic Aquarium and Beaches on Long Island Sound are a short drive away. We highly recommend this VRBO rental.
This lovely house is a true gem. Beautifully furnished in an upbeat, colorful style with lots of charm. The kitchen and bathrooms are up-to-date with every convenience. The common living areas and bedrooms are extremely comfortable, and the views of the South Cove are gorgeous. Karen is a friendly and welcoming host, very responsive to our questions. The location is perfect for walks to town or the Saybrook causeway.

About the host

My background has always been in the hospitality industry. Whether working in a hotel or restaurant or working as a meeting or event planner, I have always enjoyed giving my all to guests and clients. My hospitality background has led me to the belief that service needs to be spectacular. I now offer all woman trips and love working with different Inns and restaurants to create fabulous trips to women that are looking to be pampered. I love music of all kinds (classic rock, blues, country, adult alternative), wine (Sauvignon Blanc lately), good food, hanging with friends and laughing. I used to love going to the movies, but have found so many great TV series on cable the last two years and the popcorn and soda is so much cheaper.
Why they chose this property
I love the neighborhood! I'm just a house in from Main Street. It's a quiet neighborhood. And, it's just a quick walk to downtown Old Saybrook. My backyard is a treasure, just ask the birds! They love it.
What makes this property unique
My home is cozy, eclectic with a bohemian style. As the kitchen and back of the house faces east, the sun, when it's out, streams in. The views of the South Cove are fabulous and you may even see the eagle that visits the tree in my neighbors home behind me.
