Feel the ocean breeze from this rustic beach home built in 1935. With Falmouth's sweeping beaches and shops a short drive away and warm Waquoit Bay only steps down your own private beach path, this downhome cottage may be one of the Cape's best kept secrets. It's only a short drive to surf and sun at South Cape Beach, and both Old Silver and Wood Neck Beach are within 7 miles of home.

Spacious and roomy, you and your guests can stretch out in the sun-dappled living room, the screened-in porch and even in the updated, oversized kitchen. Waquoit Bay's mild waters and tidal flats make for a family-friendly location, and a private path beckons barefoot walks down to the water.

The traditional-style living room is classic New England. In it, find a 27” TV, huge wraparound windows with views of the bay and cozy seating for guests. There's plenty of room for more than one cook in the kitchen, which is decked out with granite counters and everything you need to prepare beach picnics, fancy meals, and midnight snacks. The breezy screened-in porch has another dining area and comfortable furniture. A series of Adirondack chairs in the yard overlooks shining Waquoit Bay.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Waquoit Bay Bungalow. The bungalow was charming, comfortable, and vintage, filled with the style and warmth of a nearly 100-year-old Cape family retreat. The facilities were modern and convenient, allowing us to do as much as we wanted for food prep and relaxing. Unfortunately the pilot on the boiler hadn't been relit after a propane delivery, so we had no hot water the first night, but Vacasa was very responsive after I called the next morning, sending someone out within an hour or 2 to remedy the situation. The rest of our stay there was trouble free and smooth sailing. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely property on marsh and quiet bay. Short walk down a tree-lined path to the private marsh and bay. Enjoyed time on the screened in porch when not taking in the view through large living room windows. Lots of older books to explore instead of TV, although one small TV available if desired. the property is unique with great views and great space, but it has not been maintained. The house was basically clean, although some of the floors felt gritty. Our biggest complaint was that the furniture ( living room and porch) was dirty, as was the shower curtain,bathroom curtain and many screens broken on the porch. Your onsite staff needs to go there and do a punch list. I sent photos to VASCASA. I can email them to you if you provide an email address.

The location and view of the bay from this home is beautiful! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the sunsets. The home is definitely on the older side and the no A/C can be tough some days/nights. We loved having access to the kayaks and like I said before, the view made up for the No A/C. Enjoyed our stay.

This home is in a beautiful location and has updates appliances and bathrooms. It is tired. The furniture is lived in and the home feeling is rustic and lived in. If you are after the beachfront/waterfront location and don’t need space to hang out comfortably this is perfect.

Wonderful Bungalow- with some issues

Great Location/View Very Clean Living Space. Well Stocked-sample size soap,shampoo,bath+beach towels,tons of books.Nothing missing. Screened-in porch is wonderful. Management company available 24/7,but u r in touch only with corporate call center.Very nice+attentive,but there is only so much they can do and often they didnt have accurate info for this property. They wont put u in direct contyact with local maintenance staff. Issues we had - No A/C. Electric fans are not enough to cool off main living space. That can be uncomfortable. Solution-spend more time on the porch which has a wonderful breeze. However, porch has only one outlet. After dark, sitting on the porch with 1 lamp was ok, not great. Tough to read under that light. it would be gr8 to add some outlets to the porch -especially since u r not permitted to have open flames (fire pit) here. BIGGEST ISSUE - CLEANLINESS Living space+bedrooms were SPOTLESS!!! :) Windows+screens could use a good cleaning. Laundry area was totally unappealing. Washing machine was dirty. Top of the dryer is all rusted. No place to place clothing while loading/unloading. BUT THE WORST WAS THE OUTSIDE TRASH!!!! The trash/recycle bins r next to the main entry. Upon arrival, they were full of trash, covered in flies and smelled disgusting. Manager cleaned it up the following day, but even after we put one garbage bag in, the flies returned. This made a mostly pleasant trip unpleasant.

When booking with VRBO, then receiving correspondence and directions from Vacasa, it gets confusing.

Good overall, but would be nice to be ablw to get a local person to ask questions vs. somwbody who works at a HQ.
