Three night minimum stay is required to book!
HOT TUB - After a day of hiking/skiing, relax and unwind in the hot tub. Let gentle jets soothe your tired muscles, while the cascading water and distant vistas renew your mind, body and soul.
Ideal for hikers, outdoor enthusiasts and those that just want to slip away for a quiet, secluded weekend. Minutes from Roan Mountain State Park, the Appalachian trail with breathtaking views at the summit. In close proximity to Boone, Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock, NC.
Our little haven offers an open living concept, knotty pine walls, cathedral ceiling, ceramic tile shower, Jacuzzi tub and handcrafted log furniture. An oversized deck offers beautiful mountain vistas along with the peaceful sounds of a bordering mountain brook.
Large backyard offers a peaceful gathering area, with a fire pit to enjoy ambience, warmth and fellowship. Your personalized welcome basket provides everything that you will need to make s'mores and more!
The Appalachian trail is within walking distance from Hideaway Haven. Within a short drive to Roan Mountain there is a plethora of hiking trails and panoramic vistas. Nearby is an abundance of babbling streams and brooks, which is a fisherman's paradise.
Pack your picnic basket and be prepared for a treat when you discover the many areas in the Roan Mountain vicinity. You may happen upon a picnicking area by a stream or an area with breathtaking views. Or, you may appreciate a secluded, wooded area. The possibilities are endless!!!
If you are a snow skiing enthusiast, Beech Mountain ski resort is 26 miles and Wolf Ridge ski resort is 45 miles from Hideaway haven.
For your boating, swimming and water sports enjoyment is gorgeous Watauga Lake. It is surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest and is approximately 20 miles from the cabin. Or, if you would prefer swimming nearby, for a fee of five dollars per person, there is the use of swimming pool facilities at beautiful Roan Mountain State Park, which is approximately 3 miles from the cabin.
Delight your taste buds with a few local dining establishments: A local favorite is, Smokey Mountain Bakers. This establishment specializes in woodfired pizza and delicious homemade baked goods. Another popular establishment is Bob's Dairyland. Reasonably priced food and noted for having the best barbecue around! Also known for their delicious, unlimited ice cream flavors and shakes.
