This is one escape you'll never want to leave! Surrounded by 180-degree views atop Lookout Mountain, this studio-style cabin has everything you need for a relaxing, stress-free vacation while immersing yourself in nature.

As you enter, you'll notice the cozy feel of exposed wood wall and the ease of having everything at your fingertips. A full kitchen with all the amenities is a great way to enjoy meals without having to leave the solitude of your cabin escape.

The living room features a comfortable couch to enjoy movies on the flat-screen TV or simply gaze into the fireplace. The expansive outdoor deck with custom raised deck chairs is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, and evenings begs for you to soak in the hot tub while watching the colorful sunset. The views are unbelievable, like you can just reach up and touch the clouds!

A King size bed and bath with shower make this so much better than a hotel stay. Why not enjoy hiking, mountain views and a barbecue meal to complete your stay? It's just what you need to rest and rejuvenate!

This cabin is located in a rural, wooded environment. During certain times of the year, seasonal insects such as beetles and stink bugs are common in the area and may occasionally enter the cabin. These insects are harmless and are a normal part of staying in a natural setting. Preventative pest-control measures are in place; however, complete elimination is not possible in this environment.

Guests will be required to complete a rental agreement, provide a valid photo ID, and submit a refundable damage deposit hold. This property welcomes up to 2 dogs with prior approval and applicable pet fee.

Incredible place to stay along with beautiful people within the town.

The property is everything you can ask for when it comes to a romantic get away. Depending on your travel it’s just a skip and a hop and from the location of the cabin you can cross the state line in less than an hour and enjoy time with your family. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Relaxing, Romantic with Amazing View!!

Small, but the perfect size for a couple to spend a romantic weekend. The view is breathtaking! The hot tub is the perfect place to watch the sunset. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners even provided coffee pods and sweetener! The smart tv has Roku, so you can sign in to any streaming app you desire! The cabin is a short drive into the small mountain town of Mentone and not too terrible of drive to fort Payne. But, if you just want to stay in a relax, you’ll not be disappointed!!!!!

I hate to write a bad review but the reviews on this cabin is what made me book it. All were positive. The view is amazing and that was about all. The couch was so worn out we only sat on it about 5 mins. The bed was the firmest bed we have ever slept on. We sat in the hot tub in the morning just to loosen up from such a bad nights sleep. We ended up going to Walmart and buying camping chairs to sit in. Between the worn out couch, hard bed and wooden kitchen chairs there was not a comfortable place to sit. The cabin was clean upon arrival- it had to have just been cleaned hours before. When we woke up the next morning there was STUFF all over the place. Too big to be dust. I dont know if it was coming from the a/c or what. But everything is covered in this stuff. I even wiped off the coffee maker only for it to be covered again. It was on everything and it bothers me to know we were breathing in whatever this stuff was while we slept. If we were not sleeping we sat outside. I hope they figure out what this stuff was. With a few upgrades this could have been a perfect place to stay. It was a surprise weekend getaway for my wife and I and I hate the experience we had for the rate we paid.

Thank you for your feedback. We were surprised to read about these concerns, as the only communication we received from you during your stay was regarding additional toilet paper. None of the issues mentioned in this review were brought to our attention while you were at the property. We appreciate your acknowledgment that the cabin was clean upon arrival, as well as your recognition of the many positive reviews from previous guests. We work very hard to maintain the experience reflected in those reviews. The material you noticed after arrival has been identified as fine wood dust associated with bee activity outside the cabin. Our professional pest-control company has made multiple visits to address the activity and continues to treat and monitor the issue. Had you contacted us when you noticed the material appearing, we would have been happy to investigate and address it during your stay. We certainly understand that comfort is subjective. For clarification, the mattress was purchased new in November 2025, and the sofa is less than five years old. While mattress firmness and seating preferences vary from person to person, we are sorry they were not comfortable for you. We take guest concerns seriously and always want the opportunity to address an issue when it occurs. Unfortunately, when concerns are not communicated to us during a stay, we aren't given the opportunity to investigate or remedy them for the guest at that time.

Always a fantastic stay

This is our 4th stay in one of Delightful Retreat's cabins. Like always, Holly goes above and beyond to make sure the cabins are top notch. She is always there to answer questions. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed. And the view is breathtaking, especially the sunsets. Never miss the sunsets!! We can't wait untill our next visit.
