Cottage "4th Lake" is a breathtaking one-bedroom retreat, perfect for romantic getaways, honeymoons, anniversaries, or simply unwinding in style. This enchanting cottage for two boasts a queen-size bedroom, cathedral ceilings, and high-end pine throughout, exuding warmth and charm. The gas fireplace wrapped in stone and the open concept kitchen/living room provide a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere.

Every detail has been thoughtfully designed for comfort, practicality, and beauty. The modern kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave), a coffee pot, and a toaster, is perfect for preparing delightful meals. The kitchen nook adds a quaint touch and doubles as a workspace if needed. The large bathroom features a spacious, floor-to-ceiling tiled shower, adding a touch of luxury to your stay. For added comfort the cottage is also equipped with ceiling fans, A/C and Heat, smart TV and excellent Wifi! The elegant, rustic Adirondack-style decor completes this charming and comfortable cottage for two.

Outside, the enchantment continues with a charcoal grill, a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack-style chairs, and a picnic table—ideal for enjoying the serene surroundings and lake views.

Cottage "4th Lake" is available in Spring, Summer, and Fall, offering the perfect escape for any season. In addition, there are also complementary kayaks, canoes and SUP! Boat Rentals are also available on site- just steps from the cottages! We have a 20' Pontoon and a 16' Bayliner. Full Day and Half Day rentals are offered. Inquire for pricing and details.

Great location

Cabins are all nearly new and great view into old forge. Great boat from the owner we rented it is just a charming spot and place to stay. If I could I would stay there all summer.

Wonderful stay!

We had the pleasure of renting this beautiful cabin for my parent’s to stay in while they visited us in Old Forge for my mom’s birthday. Everything was wonderful, from the communication leading up to their stay, the grounds, and the cabin itself! Highly recommend ‘The Lakes’ for anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Old Forge!

This cabin was perfect. We had everything we needed. My husband and I have mobility issues and the host was very kind and moved us to a cabin with a parking space. It was so peaceful and the view was perfect.

Beautiful property, very well kept. We found it very relaxing to watch the boats motor by. The cabin was very nice, exactly as described. The outdoor spaces were comfortable and very nice, everything was very nice. The outdoor grill could use a new grate. Other than that, we were very happy with everything. Great place to stay.

The Lakes

The cabin was adorable and well appointed. Guests needs were thoughtfully anticipated. Anything I needed on my stay, I just had to open a cabinet or a drawer and it was there. The hosts Emanuela and Jon couldnt be nicer. Jon gave me excellent instruction on operating the boat I rented from the resort. I will return here for sure!

Perfect Getaway!

Amazing stay! This is the perfect Adirondacks experience. The cottage has easy access to the lake & had fun using the kayaks & S.U.P. They also have a boat & pontoon. Wonderful decks for dining, playing cards with a gorgeous lake view or hanging out by the fire pit at night. The towns of Old Forge & Inlet are minutes away for dining and shopping. Perfect Retreat

The cottages are an idyllic spot! Jon and Emanuela have thought of everything and our cabin was a lovely and cozy home base for the week. Canoeing and kayaking by day, popping into Old Forge for restaurants and shops, and sitting around fire at night made it the perfect ADKS stay for us. Our pup loved it, too.

Our waterfront oasis offers upscale accommodations in the most beautiful setting! Our cottages, previously known as The Narrows Cottages of Old Forge, have a long history of families and friends vacationing here year after year, generations after generations for well over 50 years!

What makes this property unique

The Lakes is located on the First Lake Channel, also called the Narrows, which connects to First Lake and Old Forge Pond and various channels that link to several lakes on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, shopping or just sit back and experience the peace and quiet that surrounds you. The Lakes is just minutes to the Old Forge Public Beach, Water Safari, tennis courts, boat tours, churches, grocery stores, coffee shop, quaint gift shops, movie theater, arcade, miniature golf, and the community art center. Many within a walking distance! Not to mention excellent restaurants, hiking trails, lakes and ponds for fishing that are also nearby.

Also in the area are championship 18-hole golf courses: Thendara and Inlet. The McCauley Mountain chairlift and picnic area has a spectacular view of the village of Old Forge and the Fulton Chain of Lakes.
