Chapel Cove is an extraordinary cabin on Tennessee’s Douglas Lake. It was built with 100 year old hand-hewn beams and hardwood floors throughout, recycled from historic churches. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, this home is a short drive from the national park and many attractions. We provide all linens, but bring your own beach towels to use after swimming. Enjoy the Smoky Mountain Fall and Winter season in front of the cozy electric fireplace. Oh, it’s so inviting! This is a very cozy spacious log home with all the Smoky Mountain charm you could want. Satellite TV and a DVD player are just the start of the amenities we offer here. We have covered porches with rocking chairs, swing and other chairs for your enjoyment on those lazy afternoons or early morning coffee. Chapel Cove has wifi internet if you need to do a little work while your visiting us. There are lots of books and magazines for your reading enjoyment also. There is a fire pit down by the water to enjoy roasting marshmallows and just laying around enjoying your family time. There is also a horseshoe pit, corn hole, badminton etc games to play in this large yard. There is king bedroom on the main floor and a 2nd queen bedroom upstairs with a half bath. You may park (anchor) your boat in front of Chapel Cove when the water level is appropriate. TVA will not allow a dock to be placed in this area for the cabin unfortunately, but if you do anchor in the grassy area behind the cabin, the boat will be in a safe and close spot, off the main channel, so you don’t have to worry about your boat getting moved, beaten or banged by the main water.
