Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The home has great space for being tiny, and the host has all the amenities you could want. The only areas that could be improved would be cleanliness, general maintenance and improved exterior lighting.

We picked this home for the stunning lake views and that part did not disappoint. However, the photos were a bit deceiving, especially in regards to the basement bedroom and sunroom. We knew that the stairway down would be narrow and that’s fine, but from the pictures, we did not know that the bedroom down there was part of a basement and therefore felt and smelled like a basement. My husband and I are tall, so sleeping in the upstairs queen bed wouldn’t have worked. If you plan to stay in the upstairs queen room, I think this place is a great fit. The sunroom downstairs does not look like the picture. While we loved the deck and view of the lake, I feel like it was overpriced when considering that we slept in a basement.

We just had a long weekend in February 2026 and the house is very cute...it would have been much better in the summer...I would say its time for a new bed downstairs for sure... and pillows...it was still fun and warm winter weekend!!!

Perfect Getaway

I enjoyed the retreat with my two sisters. We spent our time cooking and chatting on the delightful multi-level decks. The kitchen was well supplied and there’s a small grocery store just up the road if you need to pick up anything. We loved our stay and would love to stay there again.

Terrific Lake Stay

Beautiful cabin right on the water. Accommodations were well appointed and very comfortable, and also located very near towns with everything one might need. Cannot recommend this particular cabin highly enough.

Our stay at Petit Retreat was absolutely wonderful. The house had everything we needed, and the views of the lake were simply extraordinary…especially the sunrises, which were breathtaking to wake up to each morning. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and it was peaceful and relaxing when we wanted to just stay in. We also loved having nice places nearby to walk our dog. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like a true home away from home. We would definitely love to return!

Peaceful

Such a peaceful getaway property on the lake. The balcony overlooking the water was my favorite spot. My legs got a good workout from all the stairs, other than that the place was clean, fully stocked with small supplies, games and plenty of indoor and outdoor chairs to choose from. We had a very nice time enjoying the water while site seeing all the nearby wineries.

Great place, beautiful view and quiet. Some basic seasonings would have been nice (salt/pepper) and some of the information needs to be updated. The brochures were out of date and I think the calendar on the fridge was from 2022. Would definitely return, though.
