About the host

We are lifetime visitors to Nantucket who finally became islanders in 2020. When our three children were young we would rent various properties on island for two to three weeks at a time and understand what is needed to make a vacation stay comfortable and relaxing. We love and appreciate everything about this most magical place, located 30 miles offshore and we know you will as well.

Why they chose this property

We chose this historic district in Nantucket town since you can walk to everything, restaurants, beaches, shopping, boating and outdoor activities. Avid walkers will find themselves walking outdoors most mornings visiting straight wharf, afternoons for a quick town lunch and evenings at the Dreamland theater and getting ice cream from the Juice Bar. 24 Union is three blocks away from the Club Car with its fantastic piano bar and Gaslight with various bands and entertainment.

What makes this property unique

24 Union is located in the old historic district of Town with walking access to the center of town, restaurants, shops and market. There is off-street parking that we added in 2020 for one mid-size car. The two story home has two living areas, and three televisions. There is outdoor eating at the eight person dining table located in the private fenced-in yard and seating area with firepit and grille.

24 Union was built in 1754 and has retained many original characteristics of this historic home including original floors, fireplaces and front staircase. The artist Paul Longenecker previously owned 24 Union and used the second floor of the home as his art studio and gallery where patrons would view and purchase his paintings.

24 Union was once part of a Nantucket holiday home tour to represent structures built in the mid 1700's.
