Great place
Checking in was a breeze. She let us know about how to check in and where we could find extra blankets and pillows. We didn’t bring our dogs on this trip, but she had a great dog toy bin and fenced in backyard. The house was easy to get to and right off of Southern, which is a major thoroughfare. Bedrooms were nice and spacious. Kitchen was great. Fully loaded coffee bar and even a french press! I would totally recommend staying here! I go to Albuquerque often and might stay here in the future.

Gem of Rio Rancho
I stayed here with my family over the July 4th weekend. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and close to most restaurants and shopping in the area. The house is also very clean and well maintained. The Internet is good and fast enough for multiple devices. We also found that the price was competitive with most hotels in the area and has better amenities. We will stay here again!

About the host

Hi, I'm Ann! And the furry guy above is my dog, Braveheart, in our beautiful Sandias! (He's just posing for a photo op and a survey of the climb ahead.) Anyway, I came to New Mexico to attend college and fell in love with the sunshine, chile, mountains and of course, people and stayed.

Why they chose this property

"Little Galeria" has been in my property portfolio for many years. It has been a remodeling project over time. Renovation on the kitchen was just completed. (Braveheart shared in the process, including the occasional paint streak from a wet wall.)

Anyway, turning it into a short term rental was a great natural progression since I had always entertained the idea of owning a bed and breakfast. And here we are, minus the breakfast. But we did leave you coffee and skillets to get creative!

What makes this property unique

I hope the headline caught your attention! We hope to be able to accommodate your beloved and well behaved pooch. We know how hard it can be to leave them behind! Our dog is a our copilot whenever we travel in the SUV. The travel industry is recognizing this and we are grateful to find places that welcome the dog too! The front and backyard here are secure for most breeds but it's always a good idea to supervise in case you have a dog who is innovative.

Now for the vocabulary lesson. A dilettante is one who dabbles or appreciates. Usually the arts. You don't have to be an expert to enjoy some of the local and regional art in "Little Galleria.'" Most of it is from my personal collection and I think I would call it eclectic. From real rodeo hats, etched New Mexico pottery, talavera, and local authors in the bookcase, you may find something new to appreciate.

If browsing the walls or books is not your thing, we hope you use the home as a home base to hike the Sandias, golf, shop the Albuquerque or Santa Fe plaza, visit the cliff dwellings or caverns, daytrip one of the many ski resorts, or catch the beautiful International Balloon Fiesta in October.
