This house was perfect for our group of 7--plenty of room. Great location being in Black Mountain and only 15 mins to downtown Asheville--would definitely stay here again!
My family loves this place- it is our annual Holly Jolly destination! Perfect size, plenty of personal space but still cozy.

Rooms were spacious and kitchen welll stocked . Location is very convenient and things were clean and well
Maintained . Good laundry. Mattress in a bedroom upstairs was VERY firm
And I struggled to sleep . My husband slept fine . Recommend to have memory foam mattress topper for those of us with arthritis who can not sleep on very hard beds .
Nice, updated, clean, peaceful & accommodating property close to downtown Black Mountain. Quiet street with friendly neighbors. Be sure to check out neighboring town of Montreat & the hiking trails there.

Red rockers ROCK!
Charming CLEAN home. Very tastefully decorated. Beautiful bathrooms. Thick towels! Quiet street. Great house!
We had hoped for a handicap accessible rear entrance. Very difficult for renter to crawl up porch stairs. Everything was fine, otherwise, except for nearly impossible parking and the fact that the garbage disposal unit in the sink could not be turned on. Owners have done an excellent job of remodeling, otherwise. Very comfortable home, inside.

The house was very clean and is in good condition. It is a "true" rental with few personal touches (no salt/pepper, not many pics on the walls), but it suited our needs.

Home was in a safe area. All your needed amenities were there. Decorated clean and airy. One situation: texted owner twice with photos of stained mattress covers and never got a reply. Piled blankets on top in order to sleep on beds.

Hi Linda
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We apologize for the stained mattress covers and lack of response on that matter. We will be sure to have our local team follow up and make sure those are replaced for future stays. You were wonderful guests and we would love to have you stay with us again. -The TurnKey Team
What a great place to stay! Our whole family really loved our time there. This was the best-furnished VRBO we have stayed in for our family of 6. Too often, a place "sleeps 8" but then has dishes for 3-4 if you mix and match, not enough utensils, etc. This was the opposite! We initially had a problem turning on any heat (nights were already getting into the 40s) because one of the ceiling units was stuck on AC mode. The property manager was great in communication and had an outstanding repair guy come out the next day so it was fixed very quickly. We even enjoyed having a bear walk up the drive on the way into the woods early one morning, so that was fun.If I was looking for constructive feedback, here's a few ideas: An ice cream scoop, tissues, a few K-cups for the first morning, and a better vacuum would all be nice additions. We tried to clean up after the HVAC guy cleaned the vents but the little stick vacuum didn't do much. That's it! Thanks so much for sharing your home.

Reviewer Comments:
We had a great time hiking and leveraging the house location and the value of the modern house and how it was furnished. This is our second stay this year in the house and were a little disappointed in our experience of a shortage/lack of enough dish washing soap, no extra garbage bags and no extra toilet paper rolls in the bathroom cabinets.

Hi Steven,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and we are glad to hear you enjoyed the property’s great location and furnishings. Please know that we stock each home with what is called a "starter supply" of basic items. It is not designed to be an unlimited supply but, rather, to get a typical reservation through a weekend or get folks started so that they can enjoy their arrival days, take inventory, and pick up whatever else is needed to get them through their trip. Prior to each stay, we stock dish soap, laundry detergent, a roll of paper towels, toilet paper, a dish brush to wash dishes, a few trash bags, dishwasher detergent, bar soap, and the standard bathroom amenities you might find in a hotel. Thanks again for your feedback!
It's a great property. Fenced in backyard was a plus for young kids. Wonderfully furnished. Everything was brand new. Great location, complete privacy. The only drawback was the master bedroom A/C didn't seem to work (or we couldn't figure it out) but the weather was so comfortable we never needed to bother the property manager about it. The rest of the house A/C worked fine so it was a very comfortable stay regardless.

If there is anything we can follow up on to make your experience with us better, please feel free to reach out any time and let us know. By the way, you were amazing guests, and we’re looking forward to hearing from you again.
We decided on a last-minute getaway before the school year got started, and this was a perfect spot. Great location, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Comfy furniture and beds! The only reason I gave four stars on one category was due to a slight ant problem in the kitchen. The management company did direct us to some ant spray, but we had to deal with them often enough that we put ALL food in the fridge. Might be good to get a pest control company in to troubleshoot? Regardless, it didn't spoil our trip and we'd definitely recommend this home for anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the mountains. We would stay here again.

Cozy 2 story cabin style home with updated amenities. No need to bring your PacknPlay or Booster chair because they have them on site.
The only issue we had is not the fault of the property owner. The split systems used to heat/cool the home are a little confusing. I would recommend looking up the video on how to work them when you get there. If its winter I recommend NOT turning the downstairs units above 68 degrees because it will COOK whoever is staying upstairs. Its a common problem in 2 story homes.
Again, this is not the property owners fault and its not a complaint, I just want to give a heads up to the next party staying there so they don't cook themselves the first night like we did.
The home is wonderful, and in a great location just a mile from Montreat and only 400 yards from a local food store. There is a nice fenced in outdoor area for kids to play. Lots of parking for visitors. Definitely a 5 star experience. The price is great too!

Read all the “old” reviews before booking this house.
It is not listed with all details correctly.
Says they have air conditioning, but this house has zero air conditioning.
Their answer was for my entire family to sleep in a one bedroom downstairs with fans. The most miserable night after driving 10 hours to arrive to a rental that was a complete sauna. Zero help from the management company.
This house should not be allowed to be rented with false advertisement.
Warning to anyone thinking of renting this house it is very hot without AC.
This seems to be an on going issue as previous renters stated. I had no idea the air conditioning was not working.
You will waste time trying to get answers and a solution while on vacation.

Such a wonderful mountain house…especially for a group of long-time friends celebrating 75 years!!
It was very comfortable and cozy and had everything you would need for a family…down to a great book selection!
I would definitely come back to this property.
We loved Black Mtn. and enjoyed shopping and eating our way through the town!
This house felt like we were at our own home. We were very comfortable and the neighborhood was excellent. Everything is newer and updated. I would recommend staying here and we lol forward to being back.

Beautiful home
This home was modern with good WiFi. We had grandkids so the trundle beds, toys and the fenced in backyard was wonderful There was even a little table out back for the kids. The great room was spacious and the outdoor seating was nice. The house is at the end of a quiet road and the kids spotted a bear. We enjoyed our time here!

Property was adequate for the number of people we had. (8) Cleanliness and A/C inadequate.
Good property for a large group. Needed to be cleaned better, many ants in living area, and the central A/C was inoperable and replacement portable units were inadequate on hot days.
