Tucked at the end of a private drive and surrounded by tall pines, this 2,100 sq ft cabin sits on 2 private acres backing directly to open forest—no houses behind you, no through traffic, just nature.

If you’re looking to unplug, explore, and relax in total privacy, you’ve found it.

2,100 sq ft cabin on 2 private acres backing miles of national forest

- Wrap-around deck with forest views
- Indoor fireplace + outdoor fire ring (fire restrictions permitting)
- Hammocks and outdoor seating for relaxing

Location & Access:

~6 min to Water Wheel Falls, ~25 min to downtown Payson

1 mile of county-maintained dirt/gravel road; AWD/4WD recommended in snow/heavy rain, all other times any vehicle is appropriate.

Connectivity: Starlink internet (up to ~70 Mbps — weather dependent)

Guest access: Digital front door lock code provided.

Important Septic system notice: Only wastewater and provided toilet paper may be flushed. No wipes, feminine products, Kleenex, etc. Violations causing clogs will result in a $300 fee.

Harvesting wood for fire on property is not permitted. Most gas stations in Payson offer firewood for sale. Please plan accordingly.

Great property for a getaway. The hosts truly have thought of everything, including pet dishes for when you accidentally leave one at home. The deck was perfect for playing cards and games, picnicking, and just enjoying the perfect weather. Plenty of fenced space for your fur babies to play. Will definitely return.

Quiet neighborhood. Lots of room for our family of 5 adults and the pups. We liked the openness downstairs. The huge windows were so nice, not only for the view but the breezes too. Spent a lot of time in the yard. The pups loved the yard. The fenced area was secure for them. It was great weather for the hammocks during the day and a fire at night. Lots of places to hike. We didn't have any kids with us, but there were some fun things for them as well, inside and out, a treehouse, tree swing, and zipline, games, puzzles and DVDs. We saw and heard some coyotes, but not much else. Would definitely stay again!

What a fantastic relaxing and peaceful stay with so much availability to hike and enjoy nature. The fenced in yard is perfect for your pup and also the wrap around deck has gates so they don't escape. Nice large home with plenty of sleeping space and 2.5 bathrooms. We loved our stay at this cabin. My four teens all had space to spread out with comfortable family areas for us to spend time together. The property was the perfect secluded cabin we were looking for and we even had elk come visit us every evening.

We had an amazing time! The house is gorgeous and very well kept. We saw elk several times, which the kids loved. There are several beds, tables and also two hammocks for relaxing.

A Christmas for the memories book

This cabin was truly awesome! It was nicely secluded and backed up to forest land where we were able to take walks with the family. It was extremely clean and was stocked with all necessities as well as many fun amenities. The host was very responsive, helpful and easy to work with. Our family enjoyed our time at Whispering Pines and would stay there again for sure!

The stay was Great! 7 min drive from water wheel waterfall parking . The home is fenced which is nice for the dogs . My family and another family stayed . A total of 10 of us. Plenty of bed/sleeping space . Nice clean home.
