About this property

Charming quiet Provençal farmhouse with private pool & walk to the river

Provence Occitane is a sun-drenched destination where southern charm, unspoiled nature, and authenticity blend harmoniously. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family holiday, our characterful 18th-century farmhouse, nestled in the heart of nature, offers comfort and tranquility.
Your accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated. The spacious covered patio extends your indoor living space, providing a relaxing area, a play zone, and a shaded dining space protected from both sun and wind at any time of day. The rooftop terrace on the first floor allows you to admire the starry skies of the Gard and end your day in complete peace.
The BBQ or plancha, sun loungers, and hammock on the south-facing terrace overlooking the 10 x 5 m swimming pool (with a shallow area for children), set within more than 2,500 m² of land with uninterrupted views of olive trees, create the perfect setting for relaxation and leisure in complete serenity.
Our bedrooms are fully equipped and feature high-quality linens. Thanks to the natural cooling of thick stone walls, along with ultra-quiet, remote-controlled ceiling fans, you are guaranteed a comfortable night’s sleep even in the height of summer.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine, and Sodastream.
A sauna area is available upon request (additional €30).
We love welcoming children: a shaded caravan at the back of the garden, a swing, sandbox, and a large playroom in the attic with a reading corner and games will delight your little ones. The swimming pool is equipped with an alarm system, the use of which is under your responsibility.

The greatest asset of this charming Provençal farmhouse is not only its privileged location and comfort, but also the direct walking access to the river, with two natural beaches less than 5 minutes away: swimming, paddling, picnicking, canoeing, listening to birds, reading… simply enjoying.
The village of Goudargues, just two kilometers away and nicknamed “the Little Venice of the Gard,” will delight you not only with the charm of its canal-lined streets shaded by century-old plane trees and its famous washhouse, but also with its shops, lovely restaurants, and guinguettes.
For sports enthusiasts, activities such as cycling, canoeing, climbing, horse riding, caving, and hiking for all levels are available nearby. The many caves in the area, including the Aven d’Orgnac, the Salamander Cave, and especially the famous Chauvet Cave, stand as silent witnesses to the history of our land.
As you explore, you will discover numerous artisan workshops, sun-drenched vineyards, antique markets to browse, and many local markets offering delicious regional products: olive oil, goat cheese (AOP), fragrant honey, truffles, tapenade…
Stroll through the cobbled streets of nearby villages such as Aiguèze, La Roque-sur-Cèze with its waterfalls, Montclus, Lussan, and Barjac — all listed among the most beautiful villages in France. And of course, don’t miss the first duchy of France, the magnificent medieval town of Uzès, with its charming boutiques and cultural program.
Each visit will be an immersion into the history and flavors of the Provence Occitane region of the Gard.
