Come prepared to enjoy our fully REMODELED ocean view condo on the second floor in the privacy of the Pajaro Dunes resort-gated complex. You will enjoy being on the second floor to enjoy the view above the dunes!
Shorebirds Getaway: family owned, lovingly updated, carefully curated.
Pajaro Dunes is a secluded beach, "centrally isolated" on the Monterey Bay! Kitchen and living room remodeled in May 2023!
All NEW appliances! Completely renovated kitchen. All new stainless appliances including dishwasher, sink, French door refrigerator, double oven range, sleek glass vent hood and microwave (hidden behind door in pantry cabinet).
Huge working island with ocean view seats three comfortably and has all the necessary meal prep utensils and supplies stored easily within reach. Coffee station with drip & pod coffee maker, hot water kettle, coffee grinder and an assortment of teas, pods & sweeteners provided (supply varies based on private or guest use). Crockpot, air fryer and waffle maker for your use.
Renovated bathrooms in 2016 and brand new paint, floors and doors as of March 2020.
New remote controlled fireplace (turn it on and off all day!)

Our spotless unit faces the sunset; relax by the big picture window and enjoy the view...it's one of the best at Pajaro Dunes Resort.
Located along Sunset State Beach, Pajaro Dunes is close to everything in the Monterey Bay: it's about 15 minutes to Santa Cruz and 30 minutes to Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. There are dozens of sights to see and things to do...When you feel like feeling sand under your feet, simply walk down a couple flights of stairs past the dunes and you are right on the beach! It is so easy to enjoy the sand and be able to rinse off afterwards at the building's outside shower and rinse off area. Two Beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and sand toys are provided for your use. Pickleball courts are here along with tennis courts. Have a bonfire in the fire-pits that are on the beach (fire pits only available during summer months- bring your own required metal bowl for off season).

Incredible ocean views greeted us the moment we entered this beautiful recently remodeled condo. The modern kitchen was well stocked, the living room furniture was comfortable, and the master bedroom/bathroom was lovely. It was evident that the owner considered every detail to ensure a relaxing and wonderful beach vacation for guests. We really appreciated how clean and comfortable it was, and the attention to beach theme decor. This two-bedroom condo was the perfect place to relax cooking family meals, playing games, watching movies and for visiting. The view was amazing, and the sounds of the ocean was very calming. We were graced with the view of many dolphins swimming close to shore. Thank you, Laura, for a wonderful beach vacation!

Great Shorebirds Unit!

We have come to Pajaro regularly for the past several years and this was one of the best units we have stayed in! The updates were fantastic and the location was so convenient - with a wonderful view! Highly recommend and would go back.

lovely escape to the beach

Shorebirds Getaway was a lovely place to stay, directly on the beach! The whole condo was clean and cozy. My family enjoyed relaxing and looking out at the unspoiled views of the bay. Not a far distance from either Santa Cruz or Monterey so it was a nice home base for our daytime adventures. We also enjoyed a kayak tour at Elkhorn Slough, only a 15 min drive away. The whole property is quiet and beautiful. Being steps from the beach was amazing, and the place had beach toys, a kite and beach chairs to make a day at the beach effortless! Also, make sure to take advantage of the nearby produce stands for freshly picked fruit! Couldn't have been happier about our stay!

A perfect vacation in a beautiful condo!

I can't say enough about this beautiful place! We have stayed here several times and it is fabulous! It is extremely well equipped and has everything to insure that you have a relaxed and wonderful time. The recently remodeled kitchen was a dream to cook in and the redone dining and living rooms take full advantage of the gorgeous ocean view! We can't wait to stay again!

The house was perfect for a relaxing girls trip. Everything was super clean and well stocked. The views were amazing - we even saw whales from the living room on our last day! Communication with the host was great. We would go back!

You won’t find a better location at Shorebirds. The unit however is dated, but the low rental cost reflects the owner’s awareness. New flooring and a coat of paint and this is a 5 star unit.

This unit is by far the best we have stayed in here at Shorebirds. The owner takes great pride in making this home a warm and inviting place to connect with the sea and refresh your mind and body. We celebrated a birthday with dear friends and could not have asked for a better place to be. Lynn is always a available for questions but not much more is needed for a fabulous stay!

Beautiful view with everything we needed.

My two kids and I stayed here to celebrate my youngest birthday. As it turned out we stayed during the big storm of January 2023. The waves came all the way up to the dunes and the electricity went out for a short while. We ventured out with umbrellas and took in the beauty of mother nature. The condo has everything you need. Games, beach towels, cooking supplies and laundry. We would love to stay here again!

Fantastic Ocean Views - Gorgeous Condo

We had a lovely stay at Pajaro Dunes, we have been here before and always enjoy our time. This condo did not disappoint, it had everything you could possibly need and was so well organized it was easy to find everything! This unit is in the perfect location for optimal sunset viewing which is definitely a plus. Our host was great and so responsive. We will definitely come back if they’ll have us! Traveled with my husband and 2 yr old (pack and play provided in the space which is so helpful), and my parents. Plenty of room for all of us and a very well stocked VRBO for kids/toddlers.

A Perfect Location on Monterey Bay

This is actually the second time that we have stayed at Shorebird 52 at Pajaro Dunes on Monterey Bay. It is well located right on the beach in the multi-unit complex, and works especially well for us with relatives in Watsonville. The 2-bedroom, 2 bath unit is perfect for 2 couples. The unit is very clean and the kitchen is well-stocked. The beds and the living room furniture are comfortable. The owner is very responsive to any problem. The unit is aging somewhat and one problem was communicated directly to the owner. We would definitely come back to Shorebird 52 and recommend it highly!

Best property at Pajaro Dunes

I've been coming to Pajaro Dunes for 30 years and this is easily the nicest property I've stayed at. It was recently remodeled and they did an excellent job. Most condos at Pajaro have an odd set up where the kitchen divides the eating area from the living area and the eating space has no view. Here, the kitchen is open concept and flows to the dining area that is part of the living space. May not sound like much but it makes a world of a difference because the eating area at this unit has a great view of the ocean. Everything was clean, the beds and furniture were all very comfortable. But perhaps the best part of the unit was how well stocked it was. They had games, CDs, DVDs and a smart TV so you could log into any streaming service you wanted. I love cooking and it's always a very big part of my Pajaro experience. The kitchen here was so well stocked that by the end of our stay I found myself challening the kitchen by seeking out rare or specific cooking instruments but it literally had everything I needed. They even have an air fryer!! It was even well stocked with cooking essentials. I normally bring everything I need to cook with me but I forgot to bring the corn starch. No worries because they had some. Oils, vinegars, a drawer full of spices, sugar, flour, corn starch, some canned foods, coffee pods, this place was stacked to the brim with everything you need. Lynn, the owner was great, friendly and super communicative. Just great all around!

This is a family owned condo. We are three siblings (twins and our brother) that have shared ownership since 1990. It was bought by our parents and passed down to us. We are happy to share our Pajaro Dunes home with you!

Why they chose this property

Pajaro Dunes Resort is a hidden gem. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy the California coast without all the crowds. You can also get to Santa Cruz or Monterey area very quickly. We like to say it is CENTRALLY ISOLATED!

What makes this property unique

We love the way you can sit and look out the picture window and see the Monterey Bay!
Take the stairs to the beach and Walk a few steps and you are on the sand...
Sleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach.
We just upgraded with new flooring, doors and bathrooms and the kitchen will be done by May 2023!
