About this property

Sunny & Cheerful Ski-in/Ski-Out Luxury Condo Overlooking the Blue River

What enchanted us about this condo was its peaceful wooded setting by the Blue River. It is a second-floor corner unit, quiet and private, close enough to the ground to hear the river and high enough to have a spectacular view of the snow on the pine trees.

In the winter, sit in front of the fireplace and watch the snow falling on the pines outside your window after a day of breath-taking skiing. In the summer, sip a glass of wine on the balcony off the living room as you listen to the rushing sounds of the Blue River nearby and relax after a day of playing in beautiful Colorado. Or just curl up with a book or a movie in the bright and sunny living room.

This cheerful and spacious 1,600 sq. ft. unit has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and is just 150 yards from the Quicksilver chairlift at Peak Nine base, a five-minute walk from Main Street and the heart of Breckenridge, and is surrounded by miles of skiing, hiking and biking trails.

Why the Owner Chose Powderhorn: We picked Breckenridge and this particular property for a number of reasons. We live in Boulder, Colorado, so Breckenridge is conveniently located--we can be there in less than two hours. We were there in the summer of 1996 and stayed at a place near the Blue River. It was a typical Colorado day--the sun was shining, the sky was blue, it was hot but without the humidity that plagues so many other states--and we thought: Wouldn't it be nice to have a place here. The rest is history!

Our condo at Powderhorn is right next to the Blue River, so in the summer we can leave the doors of our deck off the master bedroom open and go to sleep to the sound of the river gurgling beneath us.

Why the Owner Chose Powderhorn (continued): Powderhorn is also adjacent to the Peak 9 Quicksilver lift, so an easy ski-in ski-out for DeWitt. Sandra, who does not ski, likes the fact that in less than 5 minutes on foot she can be in town. Of the various ski towns within two hours of Denver, Breckenridge is by far the largest and the one with the richest history. So after a hard day of skiing or biking we can enjoy some truly outstanding restaurants.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium: In the winter, skiing, of course, is the primary activity. In the summer we enjoy biking and hiking. There are miles of trails in all directions. The ambitious biker can even bike to Vail!

And the condo is large enough that it feels like a real home. It is 1600 sq. ft. with a huge living/dining area, a deck that can comfortably seat 4, and a large kitchen for those who love to cook. City Market, which is affiliated with Kroger and King Soopers, is close by and a great resource for good groceries. And there are some great restaurants that we would be happy to recommend. Oh, and don't forget to ask us about the best bran muffin . . . !

Great location and convenience.

Loved the condo. Really comfortable for 7 adults. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful setting and easy to get to town and skiing. Just a note- garage is great but only for cars less than 6’1”.Easy short walk-in, walk out to skiing. Would stay again.

Family Ski Vacation

This was our second stay at this property. The location is fantastic. The bedrooms are clean and taken care of. The bathrooms were stocked with supplies. Each room had a humidifier which was necessary in the dry mountain air. The kitchen has all the gadgets for the nights you stay home to eat. We will definitely stay again.

Family Ski Weekend

This property was in an excellent location near Peak 9. Probably the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. It took a little while to get the baseboard electric heaters going, but once they were on, they worked well. The linens and beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The size fit theee kids and four adults very nicely. Would stay again!

Great ski weekend

Six of us stayed for a long ski weekend. First off, the place is very spacious for a ski condo - plenty of room for everyone, and you could have some privacy at times! The kitchen is huge and well stocked - we used it daily instead of going out. Good basic selection of spices, etc.Access to quicksilver lift -it's about a 100 yard walk. Good to know - garage has limited clearance, so I'd you have a taller SUV or roof box, definitely look for outside spot.

Great Breckenridge Stay!

We loved staying at this spacious condo for our first trip to Breckenridge. It was very clean and the location was convenient. Just a short walk to ski school, rentals, and lift. The size was perfect for our group of four adults and two kids.

Great Condo and Location

Location is great for skiing; easy walk to the slopes. Enjoyed the condo. Plenty of space and had everything we needed to cook dinners. Great view and quiet neighborhood (at least in April when we stayed). Appliances are a bit older but worked fine.

Location is Everything

This is a wonderful unit. Fully stocked with everything you might need. Plenty of room for our whole clan to stay, eat, play games and and stretch out after a day of skiing. Walking distance to Peak 9 Quick Silver and all the great restaurants, bars and shopping down Main Street. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect!

In our many visits to Breck, we haven't experienced a better combination of accommodations and location. The layout of this unit is perfect for our family of 5. The location, just steps away from Quicksilver is ideal, and beautiful - especially after a fresh snow. We hope to visit again soon.

The condo was great! Perfect space and location.

Easy. The only bummer was when we arrived at 3:55pm, it had not been cleaned yet. We had to wait until 5:20pm to get in. We did unload our groceries, but After a LONG trip in the car, we were ready to relax!!

Great Holiday Stay!

Stayed here over new years 23/24 with 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Location is great. About a 3 minute walk to the ski lift! and easily walkable into town. The setup of the condo is very functional. Lots of good storage and easily fit the 8 of us. Its not a fancy place, but is perfect for a mountain ski vacation in Breck. Sleds were even provided in the closet. Surprised by how quit it was there as well. Parking in garage was easy, but 2nd car parks in condo parking lot that has a weird hill to get into it that was difficult to maneuver on ice. I am already looking into staying here next year!

Best Place to Stay in Breck

We have stayed here several times over the years, however this was the best. Our weekend stay included nine adults and we never felt crowded in this condo. The living room and kitchen were spacious. The decorating and ambiance was inviting and did not feel like the typical rental condo. We were able to take advantage of skiing, relaxing and sharing wine. The view from all the windows was uninterrupted--looking out on the forest and ski hill beyond. If you are looking to stay in Breck--this is the place to be. We will be back!

Great location and layout!

The owner couldn't have been more friendly and prompt in their communication! Wonderful unit with underground garage parking with elevator! Can easily and quickly get to the slopes. Loved the layout...since the bedrooms are not directly connected to the L/R and kitchen it makes them very quiet even if the rest of the group is watching movies. Also would be a great spot in the summer with the creek right below and an awesome deck! Also having a separate dining area from the kitchen (which also has a breakfast bar for 4) is great! Thanks for a great time!

PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT ski location!

The unit is just in the best location for skiing. The view off the balcony is breathtaking! It was a nice size for a large family such as ours. My only complaint would be the beds...perhaps its time for an upgrade? My poor in-laws suffered terribly at night. The couch and pull-out bed in it are very nice, perfect for relaxing!!! I love the large kitchen, it accomodates quite a few cooks in the kitchen, and the table is large enough to serve a lot of guests! Thank you so much and we would come again!

Breckenridge Condo

It was a spacious condo, which was equipped with everything you needed including spices. It is conveniently located to the slopes and downtown Breck. It was extremely clean. We did have two issues - The beds were old, sagging and uncomfortable and the blinds not seal well. We told management and they quickly responded. Hopefully with that positive response they will quickly take care of it. If the beds were fixed I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious condo with upscale features!

My husband and I, along with our three teenaged sons, so enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo!! The owner was efficient and responded quickly to our inquiry, making booking a breeze. Upon our arrival, we were not only impressed with the beautiful, inviting decor and spacious layout of the condo, but just outside our door we had the added bonus of gorgeous wooded scenery, the relaxing sound of the nearby river and frequent viewings/visits from the unobtrusive wildlife (including various birds and squirrels). We've stayed in moderately priced rentals as well as deluxe accommodations in Breck in the past, but this condo was our favorite because of its close proximity to shops and dining and its lovely, upscale features at a reasonable rental rate.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful vacation! The condo is beautiful and in an awesome location. It is nestled in the treetops yet on the river. The sound of Blue River is one that we will surely miss. The location was perfect for our family. It felt as though we were on a secluded mountain retreat yet it was just a few minutes walk to downtown. When my husband and son spent the day flyfishing about 30 minutes away- we didn't feel stranded. The rest of us went for a short hike and then went into town for lunch and a bit of shopping. It was great. The owners were quick to get back to us with any questions we had. They also had great suggestions for what to do when we arrived in Breckenridge. We would highly recommend this condo.

Great place, awesome owner!

We could not have picked a better place. This is a beautiful, spacious condo literally a 5 minute walk to the Quicksilver lift. Our kids loved the convenience and we loved the relaxing vibe of the condo. The owner is very communicative, kind, thoughtful and helpful. Check-in was simple. Everything was sent to us in advance and made easy. We enjoy cooking and were very surprised to find such a fully stocked set of cookware. The entertainment system was great for our kids. From door to door we were 5-10 minutes from our favorite winery and coffee shops. The condo is right at the end of Main Street so it's a fun stroll and easy to find a lot of neat little places on and off Main Street. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Spring Break 2022

Powderhorn C-201 was everything we wanted in a Breck condo. Easy walk to the Quicksilver lift and Main Street. The space was well laid out with a roomy kitchen, dining area, den and Master BR. Access to 4 large hot tubs and a heated pool across the street. Lots of items included in the condo that I have not normally gotten with a condo rental: coffee filters, sugar, salt, pepper, shampoo, conditioner, dish and hand soap. The best thing was a fully stocked spice rack! 2 humidifiers. My son told me that the pull-out Sofa bed was comfortable as well! We will definitely try to stay here when we come back next year!

Comfortable and convenient condo

The condo is roomy and comfortable, with a great layout for family. The kitchen, dining, and living room, and a half bath are at one end, with two bedrooms connected by a Jack and Jill bath, then the master bedroom and bath and at the other end. The full-size washer and dryer are great amenities. The views from the condo of the river and woods are terrific, as well as some mountain view. The location is terrific, very close to Main Street and the lake, and for ski season, great proximity to the slopes. We stayed in this condo during pre-ski season, when Breckenridge was quiet. However, most shops and restaurants were open, and we had beautiful weather for walking, hiking, and bike riding. Right behind the condo is a stream, with multiple paths and bridges. Our 4- and 6-year old grandchildren loved hiking with us in this lovely area.

Lovely, large condo right by Quicksilver lift!!

Sandra has a lovely condo with plenty of room for six adults! The beds were comfortable to sleep on with nice decorations to make you feel at home. I loved the kitchen! Great snowy view of the trees just outside - private and quaint. This was our first trip to Breckenridge and we were enchanted. The condo was cozy to come home to after a day of activity and we so appreciate the fact that it is right next to Quicksilver lift on Peak 9. You can't easily walk to the shopping area but we liked being off in more of a nature setting - we could see the little bridge from our window that led to the lift area. The condo had everything we needed including sleds in the closet for the kids!! Wow!! Loved the gas fireplace and large screen TV. The owners have done a great job and care about the details of their home away from home. We would come again! Thank you, Sandra! June and Rick

We are retired and love to travel. When we travel we almost always stay at Bed and Breakfasts because we enjoy the personal touches that each place offers to the cold anonymity of most hotel rooms. That is why we have decorated our condo in warm and vibrant Mediterranean colours and have hung family and travel photos on our walls.
