Peaceful newly renovated 1 bdrm cottage near owner occupied deep water lake home

Peaceful & Private property on deep water Lake Pend Oreille. Beautiful sunset views and full sunshine all day! Easy access to town to go shopping or for meals. Enjoy the large deck and the deep water dock with 2 kayaks and one paddle board for your use. You will have a small kitchenette with dishes, microwave and sink. Private bathroom with shower (no bathtub). Owner may be staying in the main lake house during the time of your visit- you will have privacy in your cottage and full use of the outside grounds with decks/ deep water dock etc. Please be aware that there are metal stairs with railing going down to the dock and that we are on a cliff. The views are spectacular. There is no TV or air conditioning in the cottage. There are fans and there we have nice cool air in the evenings. The lake is perfect for swimming!

Beautiful place, lots of nature, clean place, no internet unfortunately. Window air conditioning would help to keep cool. The host is a super friendly host. Washroom is a bit small for larger people. There's a wonderful road to walk around by the property that leads to beach and walking paths in the mountain.

Garden house get away

Everything was fabulous. The place is clean, comfortable bed. Woke up to bald eagle every morning, beautiful views. We had our boat with us. The dock was great. Renee was a fabulous host. We can’t wait to be there again soon!!

Getaway trip

Exactly what we were looking for. By the water, simple and quiet. If any feed back , reno was so new a couple items were missing from kitchen like a bottle opener which we easily handled with a trip to town.

Beyond Expectations

Rene was so accommodating and kind !! She gave me good suggestions and really made me feel comfortable using the different amenities !! Where to start with the cottage and everything at my disposal !! I just sat in the comfortable Adirondack chair on the front step of the cottage the day after my first night and just soaked it in !! Such gorgeous views and all the beautiful plants , grass , trees , shrubs , bushes , and flowers not to mention the hummingbirds , chipmunks , and the sounds of the lake !! It really is it's own little paradise !! I rented a jet ski one day and used the dock !! The stairs and walkway to the dock and lake access are very good !! This is a stay that provided me with memories I will always cherish !!

The place was very clean and comfortable, if somewhat quirky. It is located across the drive from the owner's home and has access to the lake and dock. The owner even invited us to join them on the deck f the home as well. Rene is great and accommodating. Be aware the drive driveway down to the home and cottage is very steep and tight. If you are driving a bigger vehicle or are not comfortable with tight driving conditions it would be best to park at the top of the drive and walk down. The cottage has a limited kitchen in it so be prepared. This was not a problem for us as we planned simple meals, but don't expect an oven of large cooktop (only has a hotplate and microwave). The cottage is really made for just two people. There is a small bathroom, a private nice sized bedroom, and then a small common area. Privacy in the bedroom is good with curtains and windows that generally face nature, but there are no curtains on the windows in the rest of the cottage.

This property has spectacular views of Sandpoint, Schweitzer, and the sunsets. It is uniquely positioned in a very private setting. Watch the sailboats go by, fish, or just relax on the dock. Location is close to Sandpoint if you want to drive into town to shop.
