The cabin was very nice and clean. Had a great time there. You do not really have any cell phone service at all and the Wi-Fi. There would work every now and then so just make sure you plan for that and the only thing that I did not like about the whole experience was that the host would never get back to me when I had a question

Our stay was cut short (our choice) due to a power outage from tornadoes in the area but we loved our time there. A great little retreat from the every day hustle and bustle!
My husband and I - and our Golden Retriever - had a really enjoyable and special time at this charming cabin! It was centrally located to the places we most wanted to visit. Our communication with the host was seamless. We would absolutely visit again!
The cabin was so homey and private, yet nearby so many places. The bath towels were thick and heavenly! We loved the property! The last night we laid on the picnic table benches and watched the stars. We saw many meteors! What a fun weekend. Thank you!
We greatly enjoyed our time at the cabin by the creek. The weather was beautiful, and the property was well maintained.
The only downside is no cell service going up the hill, but the instructions and location is very clear once you arrive. Kristin was very responsive.
We will definitely be back soon!
Do yourself a favor in rent somewhere else. Description claims property has two bedrooms rooms. By definition a room is an enclosed space with walls, ceiling and floors. This is an extremely small storage area above the living room you climb a ladder to reach with no fourth wall or privacy. All the windows were open when we arrived obviously trying to air out the funk. The place was so unclean and smelled so bad we could not stay there due to health concerns. I spent another 1,050 staying at a quality inn for the week just so I wouldn't have to deal with the stench. The smell inside was of mold mildew and dog pee, The grill outside smelled of rotten fish. Contacted the host and at first he said he would refund my money. Few days later I checked in to find out why I have not received my refund and the host quit communicating with me and VRBO. eventually the host mother accepted a call. She explain to me they didn't care and they didn't have to refund anything. Very strange situation. VRBO say they can not refund my money because they already gave it to the host and the host refuses. So I'm taking Red Bird property management LLC to the local magistrate in an effort to get my 1,800 back.

It was a rustic setting, but the restaurant was right up the hill. Offers unique experience of feeling like your in the woods removed from things, but you only have to run up the hill if you need something. A good compromise for those that like to camp and those that don't in the family. The only down side is being a 10 minute drive from the town and rafting centers, but perfect if you want to spend time fishing and hiking away from the traffic of the town and river companies.
Quaint little cabin located on the Midland Trail. We stayed on the "off season" but still had a chance to catch the fall colors. It was a nice location for us because we were visiting Summersville and Fayetteville. Ate one night at Hawk's Nest, which was very nice and surprisingly dog-friendly. If you go through Ansted, be sure to stop at Gran Robbie's. We stopped for coffee, but it looks like a great place for lunch or dinner, too. We heard Piggly-Wiggly has pepperoni rolls, a West Virginia original.
The cabin is small but cozy, and had all the accessories needed for cooking. And, of course, coffee. The buck stove is nicely situated for warmth, so be ready and able to start a fire. Wood was provided.
If we go again, we will make sure we get there in season, so we can try the Chimney Corner Cafe. The cabin is located directly behind the cafe.
This is a very cute conveniently located cabin .. We had a wonderful time .. The explanation of cabin was 100% but they forgot to mention.. no curtains in any room .. you are close to the main road so anyone can see in anytime they want at night …Wife was scared to death there was someone watching her … lol base board heat and fireplace only heater that worked was behind couch but a paper said don’t use heater behind the couch .. lol needless to say we had a heck of a time staying warm over night .. but with all that said we would definitely go back when the summer or spring Shows up .. thanks for a great weekend
The pictures are very miss leading as what appears to be a nice cabin in the wood near a nice creek is only part of the story. For over 250.00 per night, I was not expecting what I got. There are only 2 beds and one you have to climb a dangerous homemade ladder that you can fall from. The other is a very small room with a full-size bed. The living room has a nice cozy feel but it housed our luggage as there is no other place to put them, so it’s useless unless you want to put your luggage on the porch or leave them in your car. The only bathroom is dark (hard to shave by) and dirty and the vanity only comes up to your kneecaps. There is a nice pit fit and I ordered in a load of wood for the weekend, but the road is only 150’ away and you can’t hear yourself think, much less have a conversation when sitting around the fire. Winter stays here will present a problem as the only heat source is a small wood stove, but they don’t provide any firewood when I askes. One tiny AC in the lower bedroom barley kept the room cool and the one in the living room didn’t work white I was there. The TV did not work and normally I wouldn’t care but there was a college football game I want to see so I watched on my iPad. The TV remote was broken and had no buttons to push and held together with a zip tie (Only in WV).All of the for 700 for 2 nights.ENJOY
The cabin was nice. Just as advertised. Keep in mind that the loft requires you to climb a ladder. Everything’s clean and comfortable. Great pillows and the sound of stream outside made for a great night sleep. Definitely recommend staying here.
Although on a highway route, I didn’t mind the sounds of traffic. I focused and enjoyed the serenity surrounding the cabin. You could hear the water running in the creek while sitting on the swing on the porch. I used the wood burner quite a bit. Slept like a baby and woke up late every day!!
Centrally located to everything we wanted to do. The stream was beautiful. The cabin is cute and clean but very small. There is traffic noise. Its located next to a busy state road so you hear semi trucks throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper i would not recommend staying here. The oven also did not work. We picked up a frozen pizza and could not cook it. Overall, its a cute cabin witha beautiful view of the stream but would not stay again. We just didn't sleep well.
The cabin is in a beautiful spot, the late nights on the porch are great! The cabin its self is nice and it was clean and the location for riding was fantastic. Lots of miles were put on and a comfortable place to stay.
We had a great stay. We loved hearing the creek right outside the door. The cabin is close to the road so there is some road noise, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us.
