Welcome to High Peaks Hideaway, nestled among the Adirondack Mountains...whether you are a skier, hiker, boater, biker or fisherman, the Hideaway is close to all your adventures! Enjoy two private acres and access to trails, a private lake, tennis and boating within the Ausable Acres development.

Our walk out, finished basement hosts a sitting area with sofa & TV, air hockey, Pac Man arcade game, separate office with desk/printer, laundry and half bath.

The main level offers a bright, open floor plan with a deck (offering seasonal mountain views), living room with propane woodstove & TV, fully applianced kitchen, dining area, full bathroom and two bedrooms.

The third floor is home to our loft and master suite with walk in closet.

Outside, guests can enjoy a firepit, basketball net, swing and a very unique tree house.

We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful property. We had our 3 young kids with us and my parents, and everyone enjoyed themselves fully. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with whatever we needed. The host was available whenever we had any questions, but we had no problems during our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area, as its remote location is so peaceful. We will definitely keep it on our short list and hope to be back!

High Peaks Getaway

This beautiful mountain home has everything you need and more! There is room for the family to spread out and the outdoor area is just as nice. The home is located about a 30 minute drive to Lake Placid and popular hikes, with swimming and kayaking available closer by. The host was responsive and left beautiful personal touches to make us feel at home.

Family Ski Getaway

High Peaks Hideaway was just as advertised! Our family of 5 came up for a long weekend of skiing and sightseeing. The cabin had everything we needed as far as for cooking and entertainment for the kids. Located in close proximity to Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid but out in the beautiful country. Shannon our host was super easy to communicate with, everything was easy to find, there was an information book to answer all our questions. Nothing better than having family movie night in the living room with the gas fireplace warming us up after a day on the slopes

Amazing house

House appeared to be a new construction, very clean, neat bedrooms, spotless bathrooms. All towels and linens were included, along with fully stocked kitchen. Everything is nicely labeled so we had no trouble finding things. Air hockey and pacman arcade were a lot of fun. House sits on a long driveway of a long dead-end street, which confused Google Maps a little. We had an awesome time and will definitely stay again when in the area.
